Well, my 2 fellow inlanders who landed at my local office both received their letter with the COPR appointment under 2 months, so hopefully I will also get it under 2... not today as there is no mail at all in the mailbox

Similar story we have indeed... My wife and I were in our honeymoon in Greece when they came up with the new visa requirement that July a year ago and were almost stranded back there as the airline wouldn't allow me to board the plane until the last minute after failing to remedy the situation at the Canadian Embassy in Athens as there's no Immigration Section there. When we arrived in Toronto we were escorted right away to secondary skipping all the lines, explained the situation and the officer showed plenty of understanding and allowed me in with that permit.

We were married in Vegas and are planning to do the religious wedding back home as well!. She's Canadian but catholic and wants to have our daughter and son baptized there on a different day, I suppose.
Nice story of you in your wedding dress and heavy coat on... and boots, I take it??... hehehe.

Thanx for the congrats, parenthood is awesome!. Any bambinos on the way soon for you 2?.

The FBI clearance I mailed off to Vegreville finally got there today. Now just hoping they can match it up to my file.
Hoping my next update will be to say that I can finally sign into ECAS.

How long did it take after your application was received before you were able to sign into ECAS?

I don't remember exactly when I was able to see my info on e-cas, but I would have to guess about 3 months tops. Are you american?.

Well hopefully I should be able to sign onto it in a few more days. It will be 3 months on the 16th.

For what I can see in the forum, americans and britrons get landed in no time (I know of 2 who landed "flag-poling" in under 3 months), but that's outland... I'm sure it's gotta be just as expedious for you inland, so keep the good updates coming and best of luck, Love_Young!!!.

It's nice to talk and feel human with other "non business" topics in here as Arts and Film, Love_Young!. Yes, I did like Clooney's film a lot. It's action but done with taste, filmed in Europe (gorgeous little town somewhere in Italy). Good acting, great screenplay and especially the cinematography and direction.

You just submitted your FBI clearence certificate, that is big progress and will expedite things for you for sure and also having had one job and one town would complement the favorable quick outcome. I hope I get landed first though, as my wait has been over a year now...

Yeah I know what you mean, it feels nice to feel human. Clooney is a good actor though so I wasn't really doubting it, just wanted to confirm it more before seeing it though. Lol. Italy? Very nice. I was just thinking last night that I would love to go there. Just looks like such a gorgeous place.

I would have sent the certificate sooner but my first request was rejected and while waiting on my second one the visitor extension I had was about to expire so it wasn't worth the wait. I just included proof I couldn't include it and hoped for the best. I am hoping that by the time AIP comes around that I not only get AIP but have the whole thing complete already. Far fetched dream but just hoping for it though. And I am certain that you will be landed long before me and I hope that you land before then too. I am positive it will be soon. I will be praying for you to receive good news soon, very soon.

Yes, I've never been to Italy, and it looks awesome from photos and movies. I was in Switzerland once, which is just as beautiful.
But what can you tell me about Newfoundland?.. I'm sure the landscape is just as spectacular!. Are you near Halifax?.
Season's change here in Ontario, the trees are changing colors and it's starting to look real nice. Our daughter was born in this month, so autumn will always remind me of her...

Hmm...good question, how can I tell you about Newfoundland.
Well the weather isn't as great as I would like it. The weather tends to be colder longer than warmer. Right now we don't have no leaves turning as most of the trees are pine trees around here. Today it is very rainy but it always tends to be rainy, cloudy, foggy, and windy here. Newfoundland does have beautiful landscape though and there is lots of fishing. Well not sure how close as in hours or miles we are to Halifax but we aren't to terribly far. Just a ferry ride or short flight away. Never been there though just Newfoundland. Lol. That is so sweet about your daughter. When in the fall is her birthday? How old is she now? I was born in March so I always have a cold birthday. I hope whenever we can have children that they aren't born in a cold month just so they can go out and play on their birthday if they want. Nothing worse than be cooped in the house as a little kid on your birthday. Thank you for the prayers. I appreciate that. What is it like in Ontario?

My hubby's best friend just went back to stay with his girlfriend in Ontario. She is from Sudbury. I think he is having a hard time adjusting but don't we all when we go some place away from home. Are you from Canada or are you the one being sponsored? Just asking because I was wondering where you come from. What is your home like?

I will post some pics of what Newfoundland looks like and my hometown looks like. I welcome you to do the same if you would like.

nope, nothing for me yet
my app was received at CIC-VEG on Jan 8thm, so at least CIC should update the status of our apps since they already went through all the apps received up to Jan 19. I called immigration last Friday and the agent wasn't able to tell me what's going on with my app, at this point, I'm started to get frustrated 'cause my Medical Plan expires at the end of this month and it has been extended already so I'm not quite sure if I can extend it again.

Well, better to go to my yoga class and forget about this hassle for at least another week.

i can bet letters with ur AIP might come faster than they update ecas..
