It's pretty hard to not be approved as a sponsor. Especially in your case. Unless you have a rap sheet that includes domestic violence, or are (or plan to be) actively receiving Social Assistance, you're pretty much guaranteed to be approved. Of course, that's assuming there is no other open sponsorships happening.

i am no criminal i am clean no record and never sponsored anyone besides Mr. carol. I am upset his stupid lawyer did not tell me that she put his son name in my sponsorship besides Mr. carol I am mad but not changing anything she does not like me because I asked to much question and my husband had no idea she did so Mr. carol was please be nice to her after we are done I am reporting her to irb my husband begging Me to be rude

It's actually good and correct that the son was included. Imagine the discussion you'd be having if Mr Carol decided to have his son live with him, in Canada -- but somehow he wasn't examined during the process of Mr Carol being granted a PR? That would mean he would forever be excluded. So, even though he isn't accompanying, he still has to be examined.

Thought I'd post here today:
We are anxiously waiting for our landing interview this afternoon. Waiting in a coffee shop near the landing interview offivr, trying not to watch the minutes tick by on a clock ha ha. I am just over the moon that today is finally here. It feels a little bit like a college graduation. Two years of hard work and patience and today is the day it all comes together for my husband and I.

For those waiting, your day will come and it will be exciting and wonderful. I just can't wait to move forward without this hanging over our heads anymore.

If I can be of any assistance to anyone, please feel free to PM me etc. This group helped me through our journey and I'd love to return the favour :)

Gloria, did they acknowledge receipt of the updated information?

Wow @ 20 months. Unbelievable!!! Have you tried contacting your MP? Did you submit your application through a lawyer?

@Browning They acknowledge receipt on December 12, 2016. I didn't use a lawyer because it wasn't necessary.

2015 or 2016? 2016 it would be barely 3 months....

December 2016; I follow others journey and see with my eyes where they are contacted for additional documents and a month after submitting they get approve. Where person who apply after me, get through within a year; And that was in 2016. Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic for everyone who has completed the process and now have their PR. I just don't want to be fed a lie about 26 months when they state that my case is straightforward. I keep trying to figure what could be the issue with my case. :'( :'( :'(
I just prefer honesty above all.

That clears it up. You applied for an OWP in December?

What region are you in? Are you the PA or the Sponsor?

I sent OWP application with the PR application. I am in Alberta and PA

From what I have been reading, Alberta might be a little slow right now (they seem to be directing cases to other areas in the processing network to handle the load). I you can try to order your case notes. But my guess is, that you have gotten caught up in the slow down. As for the OWP, they might not even issue it (if they complete processing before April 16).
