Hello everyone. I wanted to update you guys with my timeline. I received my landing letter from CIC Etobicoke today.

App Submitted: Nov 18, 2015
AOR: May 17, 2016
Med Request: June 4, 2016
SA/DM: June 14, 2016
Landing: July 18, 2016

hello! I just wanna ask, for those people who had been sponsored as a spousal or common law and had their application done inside Canada, did you guys undergo any interview before CIC made their decision? If so, how was the interview? I've been told by my consultant that before CIC grant and give the final decision they'll schedule us in for interview... i just wanna know if that's true and how does the interview goes...
all this time i thought its only for outland applicants and for those who have a redflag...

This is true; you will attend an interview before your PR is approved, but...it is not the kind of interview that you fear.

Basically, all Inland applicants that attend their landing interview are already approved, unless something catastrophic has happened with either the applicant, or the relationship after the application was submitted. It's really a landing appointment that includes a very brief interview.

What does 'landed' mean given we are inland applicants?

OMG you guys!!! We got the landing interview email today!

Our landing appointment is on June 30 - the irony of my husband's first official day as a PR being Canada day (and our wedding anniversary) isn't lost on us

I'm so happy! Hopefully this means great things are coming for everyone else, soon!

Basically it means that you've made the PR official, at least that's the way I understand it. Once we do that appointment on Thursday, my husband will officially have "landed" in Canada as a permanent resident! From there we just wait for the card to arrive in the mail (hoping Canada post's strike doesn't go on too long).

I have a question about the medical. We submitted an inland application and at the time we did not do the medical to early because we read that in a lot of instances person were asked to redo the medical.

We decided to go ahead and do the medical. We went today but because principal applicant does not yet have a UCI number the doctor informed use that we have to send it in ourselves. Where do we go to upload the document on CIC website. We have a UCI number for sponsor and a file number but no UCI number for principal applicant.

Please help.

Simply look up the UCI from the applicant's Temporary Resident Visa, it's a unique and life-time number on most of the CIC documents.
Give the doctor the applicant's UCI and file number, let the doctor upload the med result, try not to send it yourself.

My application was received July 30, 2015. Got my open work permit Januarary too. I saw many people that submitted their application later than me got DM or Landed already. I didn't expect it would be this quick and was very surprised. How many people are still waiting with me? The cic agent told me it took 17 months for the first step and suggested me to wait until December. But I'm start being anxious and worry about my application since many of you finished the process already. I didn't sent my medical exam and police investigation with my application. Can anyone tell me anything I can do? And again, am I the few of us that still waiting at the beginning step???

I applied July 7 2015 and still waiting. CIC skipped processing from March-August and started processing Sept-Nov. Hopefully they get back to us ASAP.

Just for reference, CIC processed September 2014 applications before they processed March 2014 applications, so they go up to 6 months out of order.
Too bad you didn't submit 3 months later, you'd be done by now.

We went to the Doctor today and gave the UCI number associated with the principal applicant's extension of stay UCI to send the e-medical to CIC since we could not locate the TRV UCI. Please let me know if this will be okay.
