INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

Hi guys, I am Feb 2015 applicant and I received this letter from CIC just now(shortly following Medical received)
Just wondering if this is a DM or AIP?

This happened a lot sooner than I expected. Thanks everyone here for the invaluable helps! especially Sophie! I have gained a lot from your posts and the google documents that you created.

I sent my OWP application with our inland spousal application. I submitted my application on August 2015. My OWP was returned to me on November, 2015 because i forgot to sign it. I still dint get my OWP.

When would your legal status have expired?

My status had already expired. When i reapplied for my OWP i sent a form of for extension of my visa with it.

Awesome! If you check the Inland 2015 timeline alot of applicants from Jan and Feb are getting their AIP and DM now!

You would have needed to apply for Restoration of Status (ROS), because your implied status was cancelled when your OWP was originally returned. Is that what you applied for?

Oh yes i meant i applied for restoration of status. Do you know how long will it take to get my OWP?

No idea, because the ROS has to be approved before you will be eligible for the OWP.

Since you sent them together, hopefully CIC is processing them together.

I am trying to make sure that I am understanding the spreadsheet correctly. April 29, 2015 is the date that shows as received when I log onto CIC website. Is that the date in the first column or the second?

Yes, this is truly fast! Feb 2015 applicants are getting AIP & DM according to the spread sheet. This is a lot faster then what it showed on CIC website(27-29 mo). I am grateful that after the effort made by thousands of advocates, processing time is finally getting shorter.

I hesitated between inland and outland because of the processing time, thank god inland is catching up now!

That's very good news! It is certainly more of an option for some people if it continues to be only 14 months to DM instead of 17 months to AIP!
