A quick update..my application was received on October 1st 2015. Owp issued on 17th Feb 2016. This means they have started working on oct applications..good luck everyone

That's a good idea. I also sent off an email to the Immigration Minister this morning. Maybe if we bombard them with tons of emails, we'll be able to push some results.

I am an 14th Oct 2015 applicant, could you please provide the Immigration Ministers' email. Since, we haven't got any update on OWP nor an AOR, I thought of writing to them.

Ours was received Oct 9th. We called CIC this morning and the agent told us that my husband's OWP has been processed, and that we should receive it within the next two weeks. Great news for October applicants!!

Update: OWP received in the mail today!!! Submitted Oct 15, issued Feb 18, valid for two years. Still think I am dreaming as no AOR yet and the application was no where to be found on Feb 16.

That's kinda confusing. ???
If you were provided with a work permit under the initial pilot, you must apply for a work permit extension before it expires.
And then after i click that link it takes me here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/extend-stay.asp where i can apply "online".
Pretty sure i shouldn't apply online because on this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2015-12-11.asp it says that i should apply online only if i've recieved Approval in Principle.
Or i misunderstood all this? ;D

I would apply on paper just to be on the safe side. You will have implied status, so you can continue to work.
You should use these forms: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp

And send it to this address:

Include some proof that you have an inland spousal sponsorship application in process.

Thanks! No AOR yet - the agent told us they're still working on September applications for PR.

Congratulations .. Just one question, Did your sponsor recieve SA before you got your OWP?? I am December applicant we both received AOR and can see our application in ecas.. Just trying to estimate when I will recieve my OWP.

If you applied in December, you probably won't be seeing your OWP for another 6-8 weeks, but...it doesn't hurt to wish!

I read in facebook, one inlander DEcember applicant send a case specific to CIC and they replied to her saying that her OWP is in process, so no one really knows how CIC works.
