Yep! It takes three months from the day you apply for OHIP for your eligibility to start. My husband applied for OHIP on May 19th and he will be eligible for coverage starting on August 19th. We just went to the main Service Ontario in our city (don't go to the branches - they don't have...

Just print off the letter containing confirmation of your eligibility and bring your passport and a proof of Ontario residency (my husband has a driver's license). :)

Very generally speaking (given that processing times have been totally thrown out the window recently), how long after a medical exam can you expect to hear from CIC regarding a decision?

Our doctor (in London, Ontario) charges $160.00 for individuals age 15-74.

October 9th applicant. Today CIC confirmed my eligibility as a sponsor AND they already requested that my husband undergo a medical exam. YAY.

Quick update: Oct. 9th applicant - we got our AOR on March 17th and were on eCAS the day after. Yay!

Just wanted to join other October applicants in celebrating the arrival of the OWPs! My husband received his on Feb. 26th - it was processed on Feb. 19th. Huzzah! :) Quick question though: since the OWP says it does not authorize re-entry into Canada, does this mean my husband cannot leave...

You're way ahead of us :P I'm the sponsor, and my husband is the primary applicant. I did not receive SA, we don't even have our AOR, and we can't see our PR or OWP app in eCAS. So... who knows how CIC actually works? :P
