Hi,
I have a question, and kindly if someone could shed some lite on it - i would really appreciate it.

So I applied for my Wife's Sponsorship ( Sept 2014). Today i saw that My Status on ecas shows Sponsor application in Process since June 2015. My Wife's Status just says Application received.
My question is, does anyone know how long does it take to process the sponsor application. How long has ur been in process before you saw any changes.

Any information is appreciated.

K

If you just log into my ECas, my wife's status is "Application Received", but she's landed already.
If I log into her's, her status shows that she's landed.

You might not get any information at all, ever.

Yayyyy, some update from CIC.. So here's my timeline

January 2014, submitted my application with medical and background and OWP application
May 2014, AOR
June 2014, they needed more info on my schedule A
January 2015, received my OWP through pilot program
June 2015, AIP
June 2015, they want my schedule A again
Last week, I applied to extend my OWP
Today, got an email from them asking me to redo my medical.

They must think we are made of money...

It's pretty obvious plenty of this is just a money grab.
They've previously asked my husband to re-do his IELTS test, despite having a Masters degree in teaching English from a Canadian University.

Hi guys! Just want to share, we are May 2014 applicant, AIP and DM Sept. 29, 2015 and today OCt. 16, 2015 we received our landing interview in Saskatoon office for Oct. 30, 2015, a month after DM. 19 months all in all.

Hi anng,

how did CIC contact you for the landing interview date? email, mail or phone? I've got an email 3 weeks ago saying, that my application has been completed and that I will be contacted by the CIC office for an interview. For a small city like Yellowknife, 3 weeks seems long.

Hey, Just wanted to ask you - How long did it take from the time your sponsor application was " in process" to AIP received.

Dear all,

more updates for my application, after we got the email for sponsorship approval last Friday, I received an email this morning for DM. Just noticed I got another email at 3pm this afternoon for landing interview on Oct 27th.

Our journey is almost done. I would like to say thank you to everyone here who has been shared your experience, your knowledge that you gained through your own application, and provide so much support for the whole group! When I have questions and need an answer, I always skip CIC call center and come here for information. You guys are much reliable resources to support the applicants than CIC does--I am wondering why CIC doesn't work with our group and fire their call center agents. The updated timeline provide more real updates behind the scene than the CIC process timeline does. More important, this forum connected us together, I don't feel I am by myself alone going through this bland process. Merci beaucoup! Good luck with you all!

Hi Flo85 it is by email. So when did you received DM? Maybe this week your landing date will come. what we did is called CIC and asked what was the usual waiting time for our office.

Hi 458Bridge. Our application was in process based on Ecas starting Feb. 15, 2015 that is also the time we can log into Ecas and I the sponsor received AIP and my husband our DM received it Sept. 29, 2015.so around 7 months.

Hello, all!

After receiving DM on Oct. 16th, I got an EMAIL from the Calgary office this morning indicating that I will land on Oct. 28th between 9 and 10am! So quick!

Processing times say that PR cards are taking 42 calendar days? Does that seem right?

We are beyond excited! Sending good vibes to all of you

I received my DM on September 29th but after reading that it takes big cities like Calgary just a week, I will give CIC a call and see if they have an answer. I hope I didn't miss anything.

Everyone that has received landing letter, could you confirm if ecas ever updated to that another letter (landing letter) had been sent or not?

Also, anyone else waiting for Etobicoke? Got DM early October, still waiting for landing letter from Etobicoke.
