Well, they're back to 1 week past with zero progress.

Guess this means they're back on vacation till next March?

Not exactly.

A handful of December 2013 applicants received AIP this week. No idea what they're doing at CIC, but somebody [obviously] found a pile of December applications to `play with'. LOL!

Yes, and you need to send a copy of the new passport as soon as you can! Make sure you also have the old passport.
thank u sophiee. Sophiee what do u think my husbands passport has still a year validity upto mar2016. Do u think we have to renew it this month? Because the renewal of passport in our consulate has a 3 months waiting period so around july we are hoping to get his new one. But what if, what if being optimistic CIC will pick up the speed, would they be doing our application (May2014) anytime within this 3 months time? I just dont want us not to have a passport on hand when they request it eventually. God willing.

Sophie... Please update my timeline:

PR application sent on Feb 9 2015 with OWP application.
AOR: April 1 2015
Police clearance completed and sent with AOR on April 1 2015.
City of residency: Calgary AB
Country of origin: Vietnam(sponsor), Philippines(husband being sponsored)

I think no one can give you advice on it, as none of us knows how the process will go in the next few months.

Hello,

Please add us to the spreadsheet, my wife just got her OWP. it's about 4 weeks after we've got AOR in email
PR application received by CIC - Dec 09, 2014
OWP - with PR APP
AOR received Feb 27, 2015
OWP issued Mar 25, 2015
PCC sent along with app
City of residence - Langley BC
Country of origin - Taiwan

Wow that is quick for the OWP after AOR, I hope I'm just as lucky. Enjoy the perks of the OWP :)

I sent my application in Oct, 2014.

I and my wife haven't got AOR email. Is it possible?

Perfect, thanks :) Thumbs up!!!
So with the new pilot program OWP, does it mean you get issued the OWP right away without CIC issuing AIP?
Also since OWP now gives you status, can you now apply for TRV to enable you travel and come back to Canada?

Hello everybody,

I would appreciate if sb can answer the following or give me some advise.

Currently I have a PGWP that expires on December 2016. my sponsorship application was submitted on July 2014. So now the processing times are getting extremely long and I didn't send my OWP application at the same time because I didn't know about it.

Then my question is what options i have to continue working, do I have to wait until my AIP to apply for a WP? Will I need a LMIA?

So if I don't get AIP on time I wont have any option that remain as visitor?

thank you

If you have an AOR/notice of reciept of your inland spousal application and currently legal on any status, you could apply for OWP. I guess it costs around 155+100=255 ..

Dont worry you would have gotten your PR before december 2016. But you can still apply for OWP under the pilot program which is going to be valid for 2yrs. Hope this helps

thank you

Yes, it is very possible. Some applicants received their AOR within weeks of sending their applications, some waited for 8-10 months to receive that e-mail, and some never received it at all. Don't worry, you might have to wait a few more months.

My wife is a sponsor and she is a Canadian citizen.

I applied for PR in Oct, 2014 again.

My first application was denied in March, 2014.

I'm out of status.

I read if our baby is born in a foreign country, our baby is a visitor here.
If we have a baby in Canada, our baby will get a Canadian citizenship?
