For online it's 30 days and 2 months for paper application. As long as you start searching a job while the paper is on process, you can land a job after you receive the OWP which is great!

I'll wait before I see it announced with more details before celebrating. "Pilot programs" are often very narrow and are designed for a limited amount of people.

Just to confirm what AOR looks like! Got an email fom cic having an application number on right top of the corner and it says "This confirms that your application for PR under Family Class Sponsorship has been received by CIC on 2014/08/15. You will receive further correspondence once your application is under review by an agent. Passport for yourself and your family members must be valid for duration of your stay in Canada. Is this AOR?

I the applicant received AOR just confirmed I didnt provide the sponsor email add thats why I guess.

Yes AOR is usually mailed to the Sponsor, not the applicant.

Hi Guys!

I first would like to wish the bests to all of you with your PR application! In the meantime, I would like to ask this as it starts to concerns me a bit. I submitted an application to sponsor my wife in the mid of August this year, but later they returned our application, asking us to resubmit as we included an outdated form. we resubmitted the entire package with the letter they sent us in early November. However, when I check e-case, it gives an error, basically we dont see anything that says application is in process. is this normal? how long it takes normally for ecase to show something?

The last thing i want to ask about is it still time to apply for an open work permit so that my wife can have an implied status. also want to let you know that we already applied for an extension of her visitor visa, would there be any confusion?

Yes I am sure there is all sorts of meetings now which the CIC are having to determine the rules as there still can be a lot of problems

Since it will be a Open Work Permit from AOR I wonder if that will allow us to leave the enter the country at any time and not be so restricted here

Also I would imagine since it is so easy to get AOR, all you need is a complete application. There might be an increase of Fraudulent applications applying just so they can get a work permit....

Same situation..applied 7 months back, now timeline sees unrealistic and betrayal. Came with limited resources dont know what could happen as the timeline seems.. Truly un realistic ...to even imagine how could CIC do such bad thing with us. Dont understand afterall what is our fault... Is marrying a canadian a punishable offence as the timeline shows..2 years plus. ???? Can CIC ans this.

CIC can't answer anything, too lazy.
