I re-sent my application on March 1st and still nothing yet. I originality sent it Jan 1st but it was returned due to 1 small outdated form.... in total 7 months waiting and NOTHING... furious.

Have you gotten any response from CIC on your "restoration of status" application since you have lost your legal status the moment your application was returned.

That's really unfortunate about the form! :( So since it was returned and you had to resubmit, that means your wait actaully starts in March, not January it sounds...

Seeing as the current wait time is 11 months, and sure to change to 12 months today....you got a ways ahead of you to go. At least we have the ppl on the board here in the same boat as us, who understand what we are going through.

Unless there is a problem with your application, you probably won't be hearing from them until you get AIP, which if it says at the current processing time and doesn't continue to increase, would be in March 2015.

As there is a general consensus that he has been working illegally, based on a profound misunderstanding of "implied status", as applied to IEC work permits, there is a very high probability that there will be "a problem" with his application. Only time will tell...

Nothing since they sent the letter.

Just curious here. Did you pay the 100 dollar fee or 200 dollar fee when you submitted the papers.

My lawyer covered the fees, it may have been around 200 not sure. But in this same letter it stated that if I was going to continue working that I must renew my status, so I did...and I am continuing to work like it said....

no AOR for a while sucks too

Waiting for full one year is too much.. CIC should look into this.

Sounded like it was the case of "restoration of status" as that is what the fee is. 200 dollar. Unlike regular visa extension of 100.

Since you have applied for restoration of status, it does spell out right in front of you that you must not work or study until your status has been restored.

But since you have decided to ignore that little tidbit of information, only time will tell what CiC say about restoring your "expired non-renewable" IEC visa.

Look forward to hearing the result of your status restoration application.

No update on processing time Inland
Still 11 Months working n July 22, 2013

it might now be updated but we know they are working on applications from July 25 per the spreadsheet.

Hi guys!

I'm just wondering, my wife ended here contract as Live In Caregiver last July 2013. And now she's a housewife looking after our son an under ML. She had a work permit until September 2014, if her permit expires what will be het status then? Is implied status or nothing? Do we need to apply for her extension visa?

Hey guys, just wondering what are the odds of getting the work permit along with the AOR if I sent my application on March 2014?

Hi Jamesdavid3!

I'm just wondering, how far was your form outdated? Would they consider it outdated too if you have submitted your application 2 months before they released an update for a specific form?

Thanks!
