Thanks :)

Yes it appears they are greatly speeding up, which is a great thing. Processing is probably into April by now as well! Good news for everyone.

Actually looks like they're into May applications now:

They're moving really fast..

Did you call them? It's possible they have the wrong e-mail on file and sent it to the wrong place. Or, possibly, it went into your spam folder. I have heard that some people never get AOR though, for whatever reason. It seems to be random sometimes.

I received AOR today (well, my spouse did. I'm the sponsor). Please update the spreadsheet!

As a note: I did not include my marriage certificate, only the marriage license along with a note stuck to it saying I'll send along the certificate when I get it. Since I now have AOR, it can be concluded they are fine with people doing this.

Congrats!!

Congrats!!

Thanks!! I hope you and the others get AOR soon!

On a side note I'm happy to see all the Korean flags on here, as my spouse is Korean. Didn't know Korea was such a popular source for Canadian immigration before coming to this forum haha.

I didn't know either.. haha.. is your spouse actually a korean-born person? I rarely see my fellow korean people getting married to a Canadian.

Yes, she is Korean-born (I am sponsoring her in). She grew up in Busan I believe. She came here a few years ago under a work permit. It's funny because one of her friends here is also Korean-born and is now married to a Canadian as well, but I'm not sure how common it is. I just always hear (from those who grew up in Korea) that it's too stressful and competitive in Korea. Are you Korean-born?

It's strange indeed:( I looked into the 2013 spreadsheet and everyone got it in 2 months at most. But automaton could be right, maybe your application is already in process, just something went wrong with sending the AOR. Or maybe you will get it soon!:)

I came as a student, and got lucky to meet my spouse! :-)
All the best to all Koreans!

I think this person went through the exact same thing in terms of being married and sponsoring a common law:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/can-i-sponsor-my-commonlaw-husband-if-i-am-not-yet-divorced-t122385.0.html

Going through their posts, it seems they divorced their ex in order to proceed (though I can't be sure). You might want to message them to find out. Overall, I find it unlikely the CIC will accept this situation, and your partner should file for divorce.
