Hi Guys!

I got my AOR on the 11th September 2014. Unfortunately I haven't sent OWP along with my app. Can I apply for it after my Sponsor is approved?
If so, can I simply do it online? So far I have a valid Study Permit - till the end of August 2015.

Cheers!
Yes, you can do it online after AIP, but with the current processing times it's very unlikely that you will receive sponsorship approval before August 2015. Before your study permit expires apply for change status / visitor permit, and after your sponsor is approved you can apply for OWP.

Would you like to be added to the spreadsheet? If so, could you please tell me when exactly did you receive the AOR email?

Thanks! Yes, please, add me to the spreadsheet. I received an email from CIC on oct. 14th 2014 that my application was received on Sept. 11th 2014.

I got a job offer and I'm in the process of getting the LMIA, so hopefully I won't need to extend my Study Permit to Visitor :)

What intrigues me is, how come the Sponsor approval might take so long, when I see most people get in within 3-6 months. I really really hope all of us will get it sooner then those scary 14 months.

Some outland offices work really fast, like the 3-6 months you mentioned, but that's a completely different process. Unfortunately the inland processing time is steadily increasing in the past 9 months. We all hope for change, everything can happen, it can be better, and it can be worse...

But if you are from Poland, why didn't you apply outland? You can stay in Canada, and you would be a PR in 9-10 months. I can't see any reason for you to stay with the inland process.

Ya, unfortunately as a common-law I got confused and thought I can only apply form inland since I live in Canada. If I made it to this forum before I wouldn't have made that mistake. Now I don't really want to withdraw my application, hoping I'll get the LMIA...

LMIA are difficult to get. I would seriously consider withdrawing your inland application and applying outland.

I have a Job Offer and my potential employer will send the LMIA app within next 2-3 weeks.

If I decide to withdraw and apply outland, will I be fully reimbursed? Also I've done my medical upfront and I'm not sure I have it copied. Would CiC mail all my papers back?

Hi... I applied last July 2014 and received my AOR last August, me and my husband just move out own place only the first week of November. As I couldn't find yet my status online, as they said not yet on process. Is anyone knows how to change current address if application is not yet on process? Please need some help. And also, I am in a working permit status, and will get visa extension before it expire. Is it possible to travel out of country and come back once I already extend my visa which is we are planning to get a visitors visa.

Thank you in advance.

If your application is not yet in process , you may change your contact information (like address) by contacting cic call Centre at 1-888-242-2100.

If I withdraw my application and apply again outland, can I apply for OWP? Or is it only for inland applications?

PLUS: will CIC mail me back my whole application package with a refund? I have documents there proving our genuine relationship that I might not have copied.

OWP is only available with an Inland application.

CIC states that a refund can take up to 16 weeks, but some that have withdrawn and re-applied Outland have said that they were able to use the same receipts, so no refund was necessary.

Not having made copies of your relationship documents could be a problem. While most people say that they do get original documents and photos back after completing the process (even those that do not withdraw their applications), others have not received anything back.

Thanks Ponga!
What I'll do is wait and see if my LMIA is approved and if it is I won't withdraw my application inland. There's no point in doing so, because I'll already have a valid work permit and I can wait for the PR, I guess.
