Hi! I am just new in this forum and will be applying for inlad in few months from now.But I would like to prepare everything as early as we can. I am the applicant for PR Spousal Inland. I wanna know from anyone who've been in other country before aside from your home country. If you guys have to get a new Police Clearance from there? I got a police clearance from the country that I worked for, but I got it last 2012. I am wondering if I will still have to get a new one? Thank you in advance.

Just needed your advice I'm pregnant and I am already in Maternity leave just started last week, but in July I will sponsor my spouse, We are almost ready to submit our application together with his OWP application do you think my sponsorship will have negative effect to immigration because of my status now? He works and his permit expires on March 2015.
Pregnancy has no impact on your ability to sponsor. EI is not social assistance so that isn't an issue.

Is his work permit extendable (e.g., it's not a PGWP or IEC work permit?) so that he can continue working under implied status? It won't impact the application, I'm just hoping he doesn't have to quit working because CIC's processing time seems to still be increasing.

You should get a new one, and CIC should get it within 90 days.

Here is a tip, I wish somebody had given me this tip at your stage: I don't know which country you're from, BUT APPLY OUTLAND.

There are valid reasons to apply Inland. Lack of status for the applicant requires inland (so you can utilize the public policy). Long processing times (like Pakistani applicants where Islamabad can take 3 years!) Ability to remain in Canada while the process is ongoing.

There are valid reasons to apply Outland. Concerns about the relationship (keep the IAD option open). Frequently shorter processing times.

No single answer is right for all couples.

Happy Canada Day, guys!
Hopefully by this time next year, all of us would be celebrating the occasion as PR of our new home. Stay positive :)

I will have to apply inland because I am here now as TFW and I am from Philippines. I will have to get a police clearance from other country that I worked for, before I went here aside from my home country.

hi computer geek. how exactly does the public policy work? does it automatically come into effect if you apply while out of status?

I'm not sure that anyone really knows if the public policy (Administrative Deferral of Removal) is even recognized today, as it apparently ended in November 2011.
