I will let you know if I get an answer. I did it under the Privacy Act, so I didn't pay for it. How are you planning to do it?

I did it for myself, and I didn't get such question. A choose that I'm an individual currently present in Canada and I'm requesting information on my on behalf.

looks like CPC-M have just one or two agents working on all the inland sponsorship application. minimal progress in 4 months, next to no AIPS and AORs lack of proper communication channels to applicants. So far, moving the apps to CPC-M doesnt make any sense especially when CPC-V
was doing soo good before the transfer

Before the transfer CPC-V was FLYING through the applications, I think in about 1 or 2 weeks they was taking 1-2 Months off the waiting list if they kept going at that rate we would be on September/October 2013 Applications now instead of July 16th for weeks now, I dont know what CPC-M are doing but it sounds like only 1 or 2 people are working on the applications.

What are GCMS notes and how are they useful? Thanks!

GCMS = "Global Case Management System"

It's the CIC software system for tracking and managing immigration paperwork. It replaced two older systems (FOSS and CAIPS) that were used for inland and outland applications.

The notes provide you with a representation of the state of your application as recorded in the computer system. It's a low information density report (e.g., 30 pages of mostly useless detail) and the formatting is primitive (it appears to be a series of SQL select statements spewed into a PDF format. The entries are in reverse chronological order and divided by various categories.)

When you get them, best to go to the end of the report and start reading the notes (from end forwards). That's usually where the bulk of the information content is located.

CIC has replied to Toronto Star this morning so the story will be filed with CIC feedbacks . Reporter is preparing it.

That's great, civic! Thanks for the update!

computergeek, how in the world would an individual find these notes? Thank you for the info also!
