My husband landed Feb 12th and he hasn't received his pr card yet...been 6 weeks for us now too. Their website says takes only 25 calendar days, but the sheet of paper they give you at landing says 6-8 weeks. hopefully we hear soon because we are going away April 22nd and we plan to go regardless of if the card comes or not because there's no reason why we shouldn't have it by then.
I landed on Feb 16 and didn't received a PR card as yet.

What document did you get when you landed on Feb 16th? if it was a Landing Record does that mean you can use it to apply for a SIN card without having to apply for a work permit anymore??

Thanks

Yep Cic won't start looking at your dependents unless they are done assessing you, and you will not get PR until they are done assessing your dependent who are accompanying .It takes long when you have dependent .We are on the same boat.
Hey guys morning. Just an update I discovered the that has been holding back my application is my child. She is Outland and cic in my native country sent her package to her via mail and its been at the post office since January. The fact is no one knew it was there it was by chance my older daughter went to the post office and ask if there was any mail there for her sister to her surprise she received the package that was there since January 23rd. I'm saying this we have to double check things on our side from time to time. The 60 days waiting period has passed for her to get back the package to the cic office out there however I sent an email explaining what happened and that the package along with the police record will be there this week.

Yes, you can apply for a sin with your Confirmation of Landing Record which is received at your landing appointment. No need to apply for a work permit anymore.

They never update online to show medical exam until they open your application to review. You have nothing to worry about! Should be hearing from them soon :D

Ranking 13 what documents they sent to her, and how old is you dependent child .They send it o her to do what.Concern cause I have dependent child too

hello everyone! i'm just wondering if CIC has a specific police station to get a police clearance? in my case, i'm planning to get one in edmonton. anyone knows a link about this? thanks in addvance!

Hello guys, CIC is asking the original passport for my dependent now. And they are asking the specified photo like the one that has the correct size and measurement in every angle. So my question is, is the photos is for my dependent or I have to send a photo for myself too? But I think is for my dependent since they are working on his application and they are asking for the original passport. I'm just not sure if I have to send mine too.

Thank you guys

The package is consists of forms similar to what we fill out here and she is to do a police check as well. She's 21 next month.

As far as I know you need to go to your country consulate, for example when I did my police clearance, I went to the Indian consulate.
Click on the link below and choose your country, then follow the instructions;

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

My dependent just turned 18 last year october and I sent him forms to fill and sign and I asked him to do police clearance , and new medical exam, when he was done he sent them all here .We sent all of them to cic and they have updated everything .Seems like your journey is coming to an end now , hope all goes well for you.

Princess is your dependent with you here or he/she is in your native country , if you don't mind me asking .
