Hello everyone. I wondered if someone could help answer my question. My application was sent Dec 2013 and I sent my wife's medical test along with the application at that time. Obviously that med test has expired now. I am hoping that I will be getting AIP in a couple of months (knock on wood), but obviously if CIC asks my wife to redo her medical test, she won't be able to until our child is born. So do you know if our application will be on hold until our child is born and my wife redoes her med test? Or can I request CIC to accept her med test that was done in 2013? If any of you have any experience or info regarding this matter, I would be grateful. Thank you everyone~

Oct 21 applicant, received request to redo medical exams today. I wish I had sent them again earlier.

I felt the same way when I was asked for a new medical. I'd actually planned to do it couple months before it was asked for, but thought I'd get an extension. Shame! Now I must wait another month or so.

Hello fellow inlanders,

I'm a November 22nd applicant and just wanted to confirm one thing about the medical exam. We didn't submit a medical with the application originally and would like to get it done before CIC requests it in hopes of moving the DM through faster. Has anyone done this before? Is there a number CIC needs in order to submit it electronically so that it links to our application? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What you need is an application number of client ID. If you already have that, let the doctor know you're doing an upfront medical and they'll include that reference. That's more useful than the UMI.

October 22 applicant here and medical was submitted with application.
We received an email today from CIC to redo my medical (me only and not my kids) and we only have 30 days to comply. My kids back home (not accompanying) did there medical in jan 2014. Do we need to redo my kids medical even if the CIC did not ask for it?

Hi! Has anyone that landed in February received their Pr card? I landed in Etobicoke office and was wondering timelines for card... It's been almost 6 weeks ! Thanks everyone and congrats to all those landing and getting aips etc.

Hi.... We received our DM 45 days ago. Landing is to be in Etobicoke office. But to date we have not yet received our Landing letter so landing is yet to take place. Its weird that the Etobicoke office is taking so long for landing, usually it always less than a week. Given by your delay and our delay, I suspect there is something going on which is causing delays in the Etobicoke office.

Anyone else is waiting upon Etobicoke office for anything?

don't make it complicated where it is not. Just rdo what they asked for in the requested delay and it will be fine.
good luck :)

Thank you, I added everything. And congrats! :)

Does anybody received an email from CIC similar to this:
"Please disregard the letter you received requesting you to submit to NEW medicals. A re-assessment of your expired medicals has been updated and is currently valid."
I received an email yesterday from CIC asking me for a medical and today I received an email telling me to disregard it. Just want to confirm that somebody from this forum have the same experience as me. ;)

Update on my husband's ECAS (sponsor).

1. We received your application to sponsor *applicant* on October 22, 2013.

2. We started processing your application on November 21, 2013.

3. We sent you a letter on March 26, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us

My husband never got an email of the SA approval. Looks like maybe they snail mailed it?

I received the same email this morning, the header and message is highlighted in yellow, the only things not highlighted are the Client ID, my name and my application number so my best guess is they are sending this email to a lot of people that were requested to redo medicals lately. The document is also date with today's date (March 28th) so I wonder if they normally work on Saturdays.
The letter/document is signed by "Inland SCLP-ER-04"

--Update--

I just checked my wife's (sponsor) e-cas and it has been updated to "Desicion Made" under the "Sponsorship Application Status" and "In progress" under the "Permanent Resident Application Status" it also says under the "Permanent Resident Application Status" that my medicals have been received.

My husband landed Feb 12th and he hasn't received his pr card yet...been 6 weeks for us now too. Their website says takes only 25 calendar days, but the sheet of paper they give you at landing says 6-8 weeks. hopefully we hear soon because we are going away April 22nd and we plan to go regardless of if the card comes or not because there's no reason why we shouldn't have it by then.

I had a request to redo medicals on March 25th, I wonder if I'll get the same letter.

What month did you do your medical exam? What about you Confuse101?

To be specific I had my first medicals done in May 2013 so its been a looong time, I did medicals again yesterday so I still hadnt got their email cancelling the request.. you could wait a couple more days to see if you hear from them but I would just do them again to be on the safe side.

Yeah I did my medical exam and x-Ray today and have blood work booked on Monday. My initial medical exam isn't as old as yours so fingers crossed I get the same email!
