I just called cic to check if they replied to the email helpline sent to cpc-m.

So the agent told me they replied back saying theyre doing additional research on my file. Should hear something in a week or two.

I really really hope this is not something bad :(

They USUALLY transfer files to local offices a while before the processing date right? :(

Don't worry. I believe you will get good news soon.

I am a Sept applicant and we didn't send MED with application. Should I do the MED now and send it for faster process?
Where should I send it now?

thanks for the help

Thank you everyone!! I am a july 10th applicant.
AIP june 2
and requested police certificate and fingerprints shortly after. I got the fingerprints done but my pcc is still in transit.
then i got dm today

My MP said 4-7 weeks. did the mp contact u eventually?

Nope - he never did. If the timeline passes my date (Aug 21st) I will email again.

I'm so happy to see so much joy on the forums! Congrats to all of you hearing good news. We feel so close having CIC received our app July 29,2013, yet we still feel so far!
Nonetheless, I'm excited for all the movement, hopefully it stays that way. Let's be honest though, they literally have only moved about 25-30 days in the past 4 months! It's about time they pick up the pace!

Is there anyone lately receiving notification that their files will be transfered to local offices for further investigation? Looks like 99% of applicants are getting straight approvals these days. Or am I too optimistic?

Being an Aug 1st applicant I feel exactly the same! So close, but it still feels like it will be ages until we hear something. I'm hoping all of you July apps hear good news before the end of next week :)

Hi everyone!

My husband got an email from CIC today to notify him that he got approved as a sponsor. We got the email in the late afternoon so now waiting for the other email approving me as the sponsored person (hopefully getting it tomorrow).

CIC received our application July 23rd, 2013.

Can't wait to get my OWP and DM!

I'm working as a live-in caregiver right now - do you know if it changes anything in matter of if I will get it or when?

Thanks and good luck everyone, it is finally moving for us!

Thank you Shyla36 and Nurse2012 <3

I've had a random worry pop into my head recently..

I'm an October 2013 applicant, first applied in early september 2013 but my application was sent back due to missing info. My study permit expired in september (before i sent my app the first time but it was expired when I sent it back the second time.) I put that I am here on "implied status" since my app was mailed before my permit expired. Would they try to argue I am not here on "implied" since I had to submit it a second time? What's the likelihood of this causing me trouble? I've been here for 5 1/2 years and have been waiting for AIP like most of you so I can work. I can't take any heartbreaking news from CIC so maybe my mind is getting the best of me. Figured i'd ask anyways.

Thanks in advance :)

Have you applied for work permit?

Well there is a few threads on this forum with those dealing with transfers.

But I think a lot of inland apps, and especially a lot of indland apps from people on this forum are straight forward and legit, so it makes sense they aren't rejecting them. False positives are the worst.

Hi guys,

as i read all previous posts, some of us from Ontario do have the landing interview at the Etobicoke Office I just wonder are the Etobicoke Office the designated office for inland applicants who lives close to Toronto.

Sometimes, all this different fees and office addresses do confuse me.

I didn't know the correct procedure and just requested one in writing in a note with my application. When they sent it back to me it was part of the more info they needed so I applied then.

Basically when I applied the first time I was banking on implied status. But they sent it back and when I resubmitted my visa was expired. I read the implied terms as submitting your app before your permit expires.. Which I did. Just hope cic takes into account the first time I sent it.
