Hi Ass2014
copy the link below and it will show you the steps.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Hey guys,

I just filed my taxes and had to call CRA a couple times to sort everything out. I had flashbacks to filling out all the immigration documents. In case anyone is in the same boat, this is what we did.

Filed my return (the sponsor) through NETFILE using 000 000 000 as my partner's SIN.
Mailed in my partner's return (the applicant) using 000 000 000 as my partner's SIN.
Include an application for an Individual Tax Number (http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/t1261/t1261-fill-13e.pdf) for my partner with the return, in the same envelope.

The CRA call centre is much more helpful and friendly than CIC, from what I've found. Good luck all.

i wish CPC-M can give us some mercy .... actually give me some mercy i am getting crazy now ...mental break down soon ? o_O ???

Yeah its frustrating. We are just records in a system waiting to be processed. Someone in CIC failed to make the connection that lives are being put on hold.

Hi AchankengCrawford,

Did you use a program to file your taxes through NETFILE? If so what program did you use?

Thanks!

I used TurboTax and I did both of our taxes in one "file" and at the very end just printed the one to mail in. It was quite straightforward.

chances are you will get both stages approved at the same time (my situation was similar).
P.S. Just checked you haven't done your medicals yet so both stages won't be approved at the same time.

Gosh - after reading the spreadsheet of Inland Applicants I'm getting worried! the Vancouver office shows a few cases where Landing came only a few days to a month after Decision Made. We received Decision Made on February 19th and still have no landing letter!

Does any one have an idea if there is a way to contact the Vancouver office to see if our letter has been lost in the mail??

thanks!
Annika

Just got THE letter: This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in WINDSOR will contact you concerning your permanent resident status.
The Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490.00 is required before you can become a permanent resident in Canada.
!!! We just got THE call from our rep that states that after we pay the ROPR fee they will schedule our landing appointment! I can't believe it! We are going to pay the fee today!

Dancing around in Ontario! Woo hoo! God bless us all ! Woo hoo!
