Hey Jhwife,
I am sorry to hear about you and your hubby. I have one thing to tell you and that is " go for a long ride or vacations inside the country if he cant travel outside the country". Be strong and it is only you two that matters, no one else. You two have to live the rest of your lives together. When you feel really sad, think of those millions of people in the world who are suffering from malnutrition, coommunism, and etc. We are atleast fortunate to be in country like this where we can stand for ourselves. I bet you and your husband are still young. So dream big and treat the mad times as nightmare and forget it. Good luck to you.

Thank you, we are near the end of the application process so we are already looking online for our first real vacation together! Exciting! I know I shouldn't complain about the little problems (first world problems!) when there are millions of people in the world that wake up every morning and don't know how they will feed themselves, their children, where they will live, no freedom of speech. No basic human rights. It makes me grateful to be a Canadian and I do value the life I live. You are right, this is a nightmare and we will put it behind us and enjoy the road ahead! :)

hi guys
I am new here. Glad to know you all.

My application was received on Aug 13, 2013. I got my file number on Sep 7,2013. I sent out medical result in Nov 2013 and my WP application days ago, in Mar 2014.
Please add me to the spreadsheet.
I asked my lawyer. He said none of his clients received letters about transferring files to Mississauga.
So worried... :'(

Ok...so I am an August 2013 applicant, living in Mississauga...

I didn't get the letter yet either...seems like the LARGE majority of you have recieved it :(

I know it probably means nothing....but it still worries me :(

I was also informed of transferring of my application to CPC-M yesterday. I am a July applicant and live in Calgary.
FYI, the letter was dated March 3, 2014.

Morning everyone, still nothing about DM in my inbox yet. waiting DM... :o

AOR: April 2, 2013

I know how you feel! OMG, I was so worried about everybody getting DM but me... and complaining in this forum, getting crazy and sad and BUMP! I open my email and there it was :) So dont worry, it will come for you. As far as I know, every new application is going to missisauga, (starting by july 2013 i think) so, im guessing Vegreville is trying to pass all the apps they have. So your file must be really close :)

Good luck and God bless!

I am new here at this forum but I read everyday the comments :) I AM ALSO AN AUGUST 2013 APPLICANT !!!

I received my letter today about the transfer of my application to CPC-M, just to inform you guys

And I would like to ask something: is there someone that received the AIP and didnt send the OWP w/ the initial package ?
I didnt know that I had to pay the fee for work permit application so I think that my OWP will suffer some delay. Someone sent an OWP after the initial application ?? I would like to know if I can send it now ...
I didnt send owp for my wife as she didnt wanan work. And I saved a some cash on that lol. Even after receving AIP,I think you can send it from what i know. But i dont know how.

You can apply online. The fee is $155 (was $150).

Or, you can mail in the form (IMM5710), along with your receipt.

You guys need to relax, they mail the leters and most people that got there's were located close to CPC-V. im from the maritimes and i know it gonna take about a week for the mail to get here.

It would be good to know what the real process is for the shift from CPC-V to CPC-M.

A valid reason for concern, is if an application is lost (or a portion of the application) during the transfer. I imagine shoving a mound of papers into a truck and shipping it to Mississauga has potential risks, but more than likely the files are being transferred electronically. Maybe even the supporting documents (including pictures, etc.) are digitized by someone at CPC-V, thus creating electronic files for those as well.

Obviously, the validated forms with bar codes, once scanned, are automatically entered into their system, which means that their transfer is instantaneous.

Time will tell.
