I received my DM today AIP on January 28th and then today DM I also got another email today saying that my work permit application has been finalized and documents have been sent out.

Did you apply for OWP after you sent in your application? Seems funny that they would even bother with your OWP if you've received DM.

My daughter finished HighSchool in the Philippines.
3 years Prep School
6 Yrs Elem (gr1-6)
4 yrsHS
Will she be able to enroll in College or need to do more HS here in Canada.?

Tnx LINDEN hopefully Next month before we move i can get my aip owp permit cuz i heard its really to updates address. My application recieved August 21, 2013..i keep praying

I think I would call CIC and maybe try to change the address if you already know your new address. You might be better off doing it now I wouldn't wait till the last second. Just my opinion.

Hello guys, how are you?! First of all a huge congrats to everyone who got AIP, OWP, DM and those who landed and became PR.. I'm very proud of you!

I haven't been here too much lately, as you may know I am from Venezuela and my country right now is going through a crazy time. Enough to say that I can't think of anything else but my family, friends and the fact that I can't be there right now, fighting with my Venezuelans Brothers and Sisters for my country's freedom.

Not getting AIP just yet is such a small issue to me right now but if I hear anything, I'll keep you posted!

I had sent my owp application together with my PR application and when I received AIP on January 28th I called CIC about my work permit and they said it can take up to three months after AIP until you receive your owp in the mail since they have a backlog on owps.
I also think its weird that they send out my owp and then said oh and also your process has been completed oh well. At least i can work until I wait for the local office to contact me for a landing interview. My local office is Halifax,so they shouldnt be too busy though

Ps Im also confused about the facf that I received it on a Sunday It was dated with yesterdays date too

Wow 3 months! That's horrible. Everyone that applies for OWP with their application expects it to be approved upon receiving AIP. I'm sorry that has happened to you but congratulations on your DM! All the best moving forward!

Never received my OWP in the email, and the call centre guy I last talked to this past weekend said that it would be there by 2-4 weeks. Not sure what to think got AIP on January 8th!

Good Morning All,

Congrats to everyone who got good news.. glad that CIC is moving faster..

We have our landing interview tomorrow, anyone know what to take with us?
I know they said to bring the passport, receipt and any original documents issued by CIC.

What else do they ask for? I am taking my credit card bills as my proof of address.
