Agreed, but from what I have read, CIC and CBSA both review an applicants past history, to some degree AFTER AIP (which is your approval to sponsor him) and before DM...his approval.

I agree with others that had suggested not researching anymore online. I suggest you call a lawyer and see what, if anything, they can tell you to ease your mind.

The bottom line is that you may not find out what the issue is, until you arrive for the interview.

OMG this is a little unnerving

NO!!!! That was NOT meant to scare you, only to say that maybe it is in fact something that CBSA has uncovered that is a mistake!!!

PLEASE...don't take on any more stress!!!!!!!

A little update to my situation:

Last Friday I received the AIP which didn't indicate submitted and paid OWP application. It only said "You can now apply for OWP" instead.

I called CIC this morning and the agent was able to confirm that OWP had been approved and was mailed out last Friday (the same day I received email AIP).

So sometimes the wording in AIP can be very inaccurate and inconsistent to the actual situation.
So you got work permit on Mailed out ! Congratulations!!

I'm hoping we have as much good news this week as we had last week! ;D

Hi guys, I have a situation here that really stressing me out and hope someone can help...

Here is my situation:

I received an email on Jan 16 last month being informed that my status is decision made and as well as the OWP is granted. So my husband and I were super happy that I can finally work after 10 months! I got my work all line-up, as soon as I got the paper mailed to me I will start working right away. But 3 weeks has gone and I called CIC and found out they send it to my old address which their stupid computer system did not update my new address everywhere it supposed to. The agent said there is nothing they can do but I had to wait till Feb 27 to see if they can get the return mail from Canada post. If not they will issue Vegreville visa office to send me a new one. Who know how long is it going to take from them to me another one. So in the other word, I will have to wait for at least another 20 days. I could have been working for a month an a half there and gotten paid 3 times! They gave us good news like I was in the heaven thought that yes I can work again and really to start a life with my hubby since we just married for a year then they dropped me to hell, and hold off our plans.
And it was very unfortunate that I crashed my hubby's car last month due to bad weather condition. The car needed to be fixed badly and I'm still wasting time on waiting for the paper to come...
Although the agent was nice that she gave me my work permit number, I think in order to work, I have to get a SIN and for that, Service Canada will require an actual work permit.
The situation has made me so angry, upset, frustrated and desperate , and it's not even our fault. I am very stressful and I can't even sleep.

Does anyone know if there is anyone I can talk to regarding to my case and possibly get some help? Thank you very much!

Hi everyone,
I received AIP but didnt hear anything about doing medical yet. I already booked an apoointment with a panel physician at etobicoke. Do I send the result to cic or do they send to cic? anyone who have done their med, please advise me.

The doctor will send it on, as long as you choose one of their doctors. And when making the appointment make sure they do the e-submission thing. That way you don't have to worry about the paperwork either. Probably should keep your receipts to be on the safe side.

And congratulations on AIP! When did you get AOR?

June 19 I believe. They received it on june 3rd. I selected my doctor from cic website. So I guess it will be ok?

Yep, those are the doctors to choose from. But still be sure to ask if they e-submit, apparently not all of them do. It's faster too!

Check with the clinic on what you need to bring. The clinic I went to e-files the results so I didn't need to bring along the passport photos. Just passport and CIC's letter. They will likely ask you for the medical form from CIC as well.

Hope it helps.
