I need your advice!

I didn't send my medical upfront, but I scheduled one on February 3rd. I sent my application on June 14th (AOR June 24th). Do you think I'm better off waiting to do the medical until after AIP...considering that May applicants have started getting news? Or do you think it's 'safe' to do it on the 3rd.

Any input would be much appreciated...I'm a worrier!
Just get it done as, medicals are sent electronically now and therefore, shouldn't create any problem. Just keep the e-medical receipt for your records. On the plus side, you may get everything approved together.

Have you tried just typing in the numbers without anything else? It should work. Also make sure the rest if the fields are typed in properly.

Hi `Family',

I hope this is not a silly question, but...

We received an email from CIC last Friday, stating that my application had been received on December 23, 2013. We thought this was our AOR date. Yay!

My sponsor just checked my application progress on eCas (only hoping to print whatever I found for my BC MSP application) and found this:

Under Permanent Residence, was this:

1. We received [my] application for permanent residence on December 23, 2013

Under Sponsorship, was this:

1. We received your application to sponsor [me] on December 23, 2013

2. We started processing your application on January 23, 2014

Sorry, but...what on earth could they be `processing', since December applications will be buried in the pile until the end of Summer, at best?

Does this mean that Jan 23, 2014 is my AOR date (and not Dec 23, 2013)??

Thanks!

Hi Ponga,

I have a question for you since I have a little trouble viewing my application status.
When your spouse checked your application, did he put your name and date of birth or his?
And is he searching for family sponsorship status or PR status?

Hope you can help me.

Thanks,

Yes, Jan 23,2014 is your AOR date. This means they have opened your app. and all the required forms, and signatures are there.

It happened to me too, I used my UCI and it worked perfectly fine. But when I used my husband's it showed no records found. I ordered my GCMS notes and found out that they got his birth month wrong. we had to write a letter to them, which they changed on the system 2 weeks later.

Re: re: INLAND APPLICATION 2013

Hi there.
You can use either (sponsor or applicant number/info). For example, in my case as applicant, i used my application numberr, birthdate and country of birth or if you have your uci already then you can use that. In the aor for sure, the sponsor has the UCI number quoted, so you can use sponsor's uci, birthday, country of origin. Make sure you are logged in under family sponsorship in canada. Then your info should show up.

Re: re: INLAND APPLICATION 2013

I am logged into Category = sponsorship
Category of sponsorship = sponsoring a spouse within Canada

Then I tried entering my personal info (last name, birthdate and country of birth) and also my wife's info, but neither worked. It just keeps spitting out that it cannot identify my information.
So weird...

But thanks anyways!

Hmm. You are logging in correctly. Are you using your uci or application/file number? With your personal infos?

Hi everyone!

We just received AIP (my husband - sponsor) and DM (me - applicant)!!! They received our application on May 15th.

They didn't mention anything about OWP that we applied for... Should we be concern because of that?

Re: re: INLAND APPLICATION 2013

Yes, I used UCI number that I find on my AIP e-mail received from CIC. Then I tried entering my infos, it could not find anything.
So, using the same UCI number, I entered my wife's infos and it still did not find anything.
