Hi guys! Like i said in an earlier post, i got aip on january 7th and required to do fingerprints and medicals.
Both of them were done on january 9th. I sent the fingerprints to cic on monday and despites a post canada confirmation, e-cas hasnt reflect it yet.
Questions:
-any of you who got aip recently and sent medicals has it appearing on e-cas. ("Medical results had been received")
-are the fingerprints reception also gonna appear on e-cas?
-how long after your medicals did it appear on ecas?

Finally,
-if im healthy and my fingerprints show no record...is there any other reason why PR can be denied at this point? How long will we wait from aip to dm? I know that cic says 8 months, has it been faster for someone?

Thanks guys! God bless and good luck

Unfortunately, until you have a positive DM, anything can happen. Remember, your AIP is just that...Approval In Principle. This basically just means that your sponsor has been approved. NOW is when they start looking at you and the evidence of your relationship to your sponsor. While it's likely that this may have had some influence in your AIP already, assuming they at least glanced at the information beyond the sponsor's paperwork, you have no guarantees of anything until DM.

To answer your second question...nobody can say how long it will take. There have been some (more than a select few) that have been blessed with AIP and DM at the same time, or within a few days, but they really do seem to be the minority at this point.

Good luck!

Mrs_Canuck, Cirene, et al (others waiting for emails from CIC),

It will help if you realize that those listed on the 2013 Inland spreadsheet are probably less than .05% (maybe substantially less) of all Inland applications for spouse or Common-Law sponsorship that CIC received in 2013. Plus, there are many more 2013 Inland applicants that have either not added themselves to the spreadsheet, or are just `lurking' and reading/learning from those of us that contribute to the `community' here, only to suddenly pop up and say "Hey, I just got AOR", or "AIP", or "DM", or whatever.

It's quite probable that the updates on CIC have been more of an accurate representation of what CIC is really doing, and those here `on the spreadsheet' with dates that are close to yours, are the exception, rather than the rule. As wonderful as this community here is (and I truly mean that), we are just a `drop of water' in the `glass' (or fishbowl) that CIC has on their desk.

So...I'd like to offer an idea that may sound crazy, but trust me when I say that it does work:

Instead of saying (or even thinking) "I hope there's nothing wrong with my application"...say "I am grateful that I have a solid application".
By doing something as simple as this, you have INSTANTLY taken back the power that you have over your mind to stop (or at least greatly reduce) all of the `noise' and `chatter' that's consuming your conscious thoughts and...more importantly, your sub-conscious thoughts.

"Hope" is passive, while "nothing" and "wrong" are both negatives. However, "I am" is active, and "grateful" and "solid" are both very POSITIVE!

Will doing this in any way speed up whatever is really happening at CIC? No, but what it will do is give you the ability to believe in what you have submitted.
It's entirely possible that the file that your visa officer had before yours was a real mess, which is why it is impacting your `good news'.

Now...go check your email! ;)

Thank you so much for your kind words ponga. You are right, we will get our emails pretty soon! You guys are amazing in this forum, I really appreciate your positive spirit :)

Hi Maxlet!

I sent my medicals with my app in March 2013, my police check in June 2013 and received AIP (no DM) on January 14th, asking me to send my police check?! After a lot of emails and calls to the embassy, post office and the CIC call center, some not-kind lady officer told me 'oh, yes, we did have your police check here. Is there something else I can do for you?' >:(

I didn't have access to my e-cas for like 8 months, until a couple of days after my AIP. And it only says 'application in process' since. No medicals received, no nothing else. So I think you shouldn't worry. . E-cas has proved pretty inaccurate and therefor useless.

Pacience and Blessings!!

Thank you Happy Wife.. hopefully we hear soon...let us know if you hear anything.

I became a PR on Janurary 17th, last Friday.

The process took approximately 20 minutes because there weren't that many people in Kitchener office on that day (Probably 4-5 groups of couples before me). Basically, we waited until my name was called and then went to another room. The officer who was very nice just asked me 3 standard questions. Then he got me to sign the Confirmation of Permanet Residence and stamped on my passport.

Then I waited another 15 minutes to get my permanet SIN number.

I also went to Service Ontario to get my Health Card info updated which took about 20 minutes.

My application date was January 21st, 2013 and I became a PR on January 17th, 2014. I am so glad that the process took just under a year.

For sure :)..

Hey guys I just called cic and they said that I stated in my application I started living together on august 2012 so they need proof that I have been living together before that so TNT can add up to a year. Also that I can explain that I did mix up my dates. So I pretty much have to send over all my bank statements, lease, rental receipts, cc statements and whatever else we had joint to clear up that issue.

Thank you for all your answers will update u guys when everything is sent off!!

Congrats to every one who got AIp n dm!!

Congrats everyone with all the good news :) I am getting excited myself as May is around the corner:)

Thanks @ponga !! I can hardly believe you... gosh! They really take the 11months to aip just to evaluate the sponsor? That shouldnt take more than a couple of months if they just check for criminal record and bankruptcy cuz it must appear in their system when they checked his SIN! I actually tought that the 11months were to proof that the relationship is real plus background og the sponsor! So...having aip is like -basically- been were we begin! Im so sad to learn that in 11months they did nothing! I was so happy for aip i thoyght stage 2 waseasier cuz is supposed to b faster! :-( i rhink im back to stress sadness and worrying.
Thanks anyway Pong honestly for clairying my mind.. This isnt over, it hasnt ecen started!
God bless all with DM in hand, i should have send medicals and fingerprints since the beginning...

Thanks @Maxician
Allthough Ponga's answer has discourage me.. Im "glad" to know that e-cas is completely unthrustfull!
I tried calling them but no answer at all after waiting for 50min i surrender and hang up.
I feel like they love to toy with us.. Why outlanders get aip in maximun 2months and us for 11?
Sorry guys, i thank you for the answers but im kind of dissapointed now.

Please don't let my previous answer discourage you. You simply asked if there was a chance that you could be denied after AIP and I simply said...yes, it is possible. Nothing more.

Regarding your fingerprints and medical, it's not uncommon for those applying Inland to send them in later (after they have AOR, so that CIC can match them up with their file).

Don't stress over this. R-e-l-a-x and just think good, positive thoughts while you wait.
