I am so worried having not heard anything about AIP. Freaking out indeed. I submitted on 11th April and Application got into processing 19th April 2013. Just worried, I sent my son's birth Certificate (copy) and not sure if it has been joined with my application. I didnt do medicals upfront cos I was preg at d time. Just worried as April applicants are getting good news and I havent heard a thing. I am also wondering if I can get Alberta health with AIP and OWP. I applied for OWP and application was received and added to my file. I am in Calgary :'(

Dont worry we have few people form end of March and early April who have not heared anything.. you get news soon.. I know the feeling .. i feel the same way.. good luck!

HI soniabrowne1, I am on the same boat as well. I submitted on March 27 and still haven't heard anything while other people from the same month (or even April) are getting their AIP. My wife's Alberta health care card is also already expired.. and now she doesnt even want to go out so she won't get sick (also because the H1N1 outbreak). But i still believe it will come... And yes you can get the Alberta Health Care with OWP. I am also in Calgary

If I'm not mistaken, AIP gives you implied status, there for you have legal status (implied) which is why the OWP will only be processed after AIP is granted. My husband applied out of status as well. And he used the extended/existing status app as well.

Thank you all for the encouragement. It doesnt say anything on the website about OWP received however, I got a letter/Email from cic dated Sep 13, saying my OWP application will be processed if AIP sails through. About Alberta health, that will be a huge joy for me because I had a brain surgery the same day I had my baby on 28th May. Have a lot of appointments to follow through as per posr care(Had a tumor removed) So its been so hurting as my coverage ended 31st Dec. Now I have to cancel appointments because I cant afford it yet and my husbands work only gives limited percentage to cover. That sucks as I am so worried. Had to cancel the neurosurgeon follow up appointment of yesterday because I heard 285 dollars for consultation alone....I want my AIP NOWWWWWW...i WISH EVERYONE HERE GOOD NEWS WITH AIPS +DMS+Landing

OMG OMG I've check my mail box and I received a letter with my landing interview. My is on the first week of feb. I'm so excited and stressed, can't write I called my hub and he didin't pick up the phone ( so YOU GUYS are first to know. I have to text my family.

Hello all waiting friends ! We have a great news at 17h58 by e-mail.... we finally got our AIP !!! Wow the feeling that we kept reading of all of you guys everyday, we finally get the feel it ourselves !! Our AOR was april 9th. We received just one e-mail an hour ago but we are still waiting for the second one about the OWP and DM.... is it going to be long after ? ;D

Finally I'm a Permanent Resident of Canada! After all the wait and stress. It feels surreal, got a job and become a PR at the same time, I'm exhausted to be honest. From the very bottom of my heart, I wish & pray for everyone here to hear good news from CIC in coming days & weeks!
