Hello! Yes you can apply for a new passport here in Canada. Where are you from? I am from Edmonton and I went to Vancouver to renew mine. You just have to book online.

Yes, you have to update cic for the new passport...send them a copy..

There's a outreach program this coming March 2014 in Edmonton. You need to email the Philippine embassy in vancouver on January 27, 2014 for the slot. Its a first come first serve basis. Its less expensive if you can have a slot here in edmonton instead of going to vancouver unless you're living in Vancouver

Just came back from my medical, I'm glad everything is so smooth now!
I was charged $180 for the doctors check up, very straight forward.
I filled out forms, then peed in a cup. The doctor checked weight, height (got it confirmed that I grew whoop), vision, listened to my lungs as well as felt my throat (I'm assuming for swelling??).
She was very friendly and asked about Sweden since she had been there and said that "If all patients were like me then we probably wouldn't need the medical checkup at all" so haha that's a relief??

Then I went for the blood works (syphilis and hiv as someone stated before) they charged me $45 for that and last the chest xray was $50 and I was free to go.

With wait time it took 1.5h but once I was called by the assistant for my photo it took an hour till I was completely done. The total cost was $275.

So now I sit on my butt and wait. Hopefully I'll get DM soon!

Hi guys! How are you today?!

I've been with my mother in-law all day which is nice as she is taking my mind off my email account haha, but I haven't heard anything :( I thought today was the day for Mrs_Canuck and I.. Maybe later ? Hehe

Have a great weekend everyone :D

Yeah, it is confusing. Since you applied Inland, you will likely `land' at the local Vancouver office. Inland applicants `land' in Canada, while Outland applicants can leave and re-enter or flagpole at a land border to land.

I'm encouraged to see that your interview is in Vancouver, since I've read that they can have ridiculous wait times. How long did you have to wait, after receiving your DM for the interview?

Good luck!

I received my DM roughly in mid November 2013. I would say is took about 2 months from DM to the interview date. Let's say after I receive my CoPR in the interview, am I considered as landed?

Omg i got DM :D :D :D

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in LONDON will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status.

Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will
be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration
Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be
made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the
confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your
passport or identity documents.

1. How many days will they contact me or before the landing date?
2. Regarding the original identification documents? That means PASSPORT right?
What if you do not have your passport right now??? My passport is currently under the renewal process which I will get not until MARCH :(

Please help :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!! And good luck with the passport. ;D

Good day everyone!

Does anybody here knows how many days until your landing date after receiving DM? :)

Can you present other identification other than passport if you don't have it???
Unluckily due to renewal process in the Philippines consul here in Toronto it takes 2 months and they took your old passport >:(

You could contact your consulate and inform them of the situation. Perhaps they can put a 'rush' onto your passport renewal or even give you back your old one before the new one is completed ...

You won't know the answer until you ask the question.

Congrats to those who got AIP, OWP and DM!

Many people ask this question. You guys can guess how long takes to the landing interview, if you check the timesheet of 2012ers. However, nobody can tell about it exactly. It depends on the local offices.

If I don't hear anything after 1 month of DM, I would call to CIC.
