Your bio data is the page with all the information and picture in your passportLinomo said:I am being sponsored by my spouse I moved from the states to Canada and i am currently residing in Canada. I have my medical exam tomorrow morning I just spoke with the receptionist she stated that I need to bring a Biodata form after speaking with my lawyer I was adv that I did not have to being anything other then my passport. I called back to the doctors office the same receptionist picked up and stated the same thing. I advised her what my lawyer said and she transferred me to another person who told me all i had to bring was my passport she even said I dont need to bring Appendix C.
Do I need anything other then my passport?
thank you Ponga, so if my country doesn't require fingerprints for PCC, I don't need to..?Ponga said:You don't submit your fingerprints to CIC, but you do submit them to the country (or countries) that you need your PCC from. You then submit the PCC to CIC, which is on the checklist.
I wouldn't worry too much! Much people who included all required documents such as medical, police, paid up front you should most likely get DM at the same time.bankerguy said:Reading everyone's responses to AIP and AIP+DM really cheers me up and makes the wait not seem so bad.
We have months and months to go before we're due for AIP ...
I really hope we get AIP + DM + OWP at the same time. We paid all fees up front, we sent medicals AND police reports with the app. We submit about 100 pictures. Lived together 2.5 years prior to submitting the application. Lease agreement, Joint bank account, insurance under both names... she's from japan (not a third world country), she's on a PGWP and working as a teacher for autistic kids, i have a good job with income that can easily support both of us.
SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER!! i really hope we get AIP + DM at the same time.
THE ONE thing that scares the hell out of me, is that the police report that she sent (had to order it from Japan) expired 2 days before our AOR date (as shown on ECAS). BUT, when i spoke with the CIC agent, she said that MED and POLICE reports are considered expired if the expiry date listed on them is before the date we MAIL the package. We mailed the package 3 days before her Police Report expires I even included a letter explaining the timing etc.
*fingers crossed*

Thanks, danib! That's much quicker than I expected.danib said:In my case it took 10 days to CIC get the results and update my e-cas.
Mine's about the same but my case is I got the same letter as you.. Never mentioned that I met the eligibility to become a permanent resident nor mentioned about my OWP app. They were asking for a birth certificate of our son. I also received a second email asking me to do my medicals but my hubby (sponsor) never received AIP. Quite confusing cause normally they would approve the sponsor first then ask for the applicant to do a medical exam right?seanbeck1 said:Okay, I need some advice. Good news and bad news for me today. My girlfriend got an email today saying that she meets the requirements to sponsor me. I got an email saying that I have to provide further information regarding our common law partnership. Here is exactly what it said:
This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the Spouse or Common-law
Partner in Canada class.
In order to continue processing your application in Canada, further information is required. You
must complete/submit the following to the Case Processing Centre:
You did not provide sufficient evidence that you are a common-law partner (cohabitating for a
period of at least one year at time of application). Acceptable documentation includes:
declaration of common-law relationship, evidence of joint bank, trust, credit union or charge card
accounts; jointly signed residential lease, mortgage or purchase agreement, insurance and/or
beneficiary forms. This documentation must provide evidence dated at least one year
prior to the date of your application. Other supporting documentation such as statutory
declarations of individuals with personal knowledge that your relationship is genuine and
continuing may be considered. Please do not send any electronic media items, such as CDs,
DVDs, or VHS tapes
The information requested above must be received at this office by April 10, 2014. If these
items are not received, your application for permanent residence may be refused and no further
consideration will be given to your request for permanent residence unless a new application,
including fees, is submitted.
At the time we didn't share any bank accounts. We were just living together. To cut a story short, I grew up living with my brother in a house that he owned. When I realized that the relationship with my girlfriend was serious, she moved in with me and my brother in September 2011. There is obviously no tenancy agreement as I was living with family. I filed my app for PR in March 2013. Would it be a good idea to contact my brother back in the UK and ask him now to write up a lease which I will get my GF to sign with the date she moved in? Or would it be better to simply ask my brother to provide a letter stating the circumstances that he was the owner and that me and my GF lived with him?
Help much appreciated!!!
hey mariannamurrieta, I just phone the CIC today and the agent told me that it doesn't say anything about my OWP on my records. I told her that I did send it together with my PR application and I still have the copy of my receipt. The agent told me that even if I give her the receipt number she won't be able to track it. She is only telling me on what she is seeing on the computer. The agent advice me to apply an OWP online and just attached the receipt with the application. I just need my OWP as soon as possible as there is a job that is waiting for me. I hope I will get it anytime soon while waiting for the Edmonton office to contact me. Anyway, I am still happy that I already got my AIP and DM. I hope the Edmonton office will contact me very soon for my landing interview. Is there anybody there who had the same experience about sending a work permit together with the PR application??? I need some advice please... Thanks!mariannamurrieta said:my also did not say if my OWP was approve, but i did sent it with my application... the AIP email says i can now apply for one... but i already applied, WEIRD!
