Hello everyone! Sent my application by Xpresspost (Canada Post) on December 1st and for some stupid reason I lost the tracking number, so couldn't check if they received it or not in Vegreville. Haven't received any AOR yet either. Should I be worried/when should I be waiting for AOR? ???

AOR can take some time go get through, but since it's already been over a month I would give them a call. Look for the call centre, and ask if they received it. If you already have an UCI number, you can log into ecas and check there. But I'd definitely call them if I were you!

Hmm, I have a UCI and tried ecas but apparently I'm not in the system yet. The holidays might have played a role, I'll wait a few more days and give them a call. I hope they have received it, if not I'm screwed.
 
wanted to consult with you guys before I even approach my lawyer, since I have realized a long time ago that this a much better information source and people here are much more knowledgeable. Cheesy
1. I was thinking of applying for OWP, since I haven't sent it with my app, and I should receive my AIP in the next few months hopefully, but I wasn't sure if its still an option for people that applied out of status. anyone knows??
2. also, how long into the process is it recommended to order GCMS notes, so that it wouldn't be too early but neither too late? :P
 
Hi All

I am new to this Forum would appreciate your experienced advice on my issues.

1) I have submitted my spousal inland PR application on April 15,2013. Did'nt decided at that time to combine my extension of Open Work Permit application at once. As the timeline for 1st step was 6 months and now it increased to 11 months

2) I have my OWP status till Aug 2014. Still did'n't received any news about my application and it seems reading the posts that it hopefully be in 2 months time.

So, my question is whether to send my extension OWP application now or to wait for 1 step approval. What would be my status and wait period

I think this is DM? Will I get a call or an email from Kitchener office? What's the landing timeline in Kitchener office?

OWP received: December 2, 2013
DM: Jan 3, 2014

Good day, all! The start to a new week! :) Since this is the first full week after all the holidays, hopefully we'll hear good news pouring in! Has anyone heard from Guri lately, haven't seen them around for a little while! :/ Hope everything is okay.

Fingers crossed for an awesome week ahead. :)
 
Hey all! haven't checked in in awhile. Still no word for us. Hopefully they'll get more caught up soon. 11 months is a lot longer than 6! Yeesh! My spouse and I moved to Toronto since the last time I posted on here so hopefully we'll get AIP in the near future and we can really get our lives started! Hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy new year! Here's hoping 2014 brings us all good things with CIC! :)

I don't believe so. I'm sponsoring my husband and CIC has yet to reach out to my workplace to verify anything... I don't think it's anything to worry about even if they did. :)

While I can't definitively answer your first question but I can help with the second question. I requested my GMCS notes after we had been waiting for 8 months. It took 30 days to process and when I got the GMCS notes back there were no notes past the details we had submitted with the application (names, workplaces, country of origin etc). I didn't submit a permission letter from my husband (the applicant) with the request so I thought that there were no notes included in the copy they sent me so I called CIC and asked if the notes were blank because I hadn't included the permission letter. The agent told me that it wasn't because of that but because it was too early for CIC to have even looked at my file. So I think that you might want to wait until they've had the file for at least 9 1/2 months before requesting GMCS notes...

we have almost the same timeline, you are a couple of weeks ahead of me, so I guess there is really no point requesting them now
