Hmmm...does anyone else find this odd?

I was under the impression that we would be waiting a lonnnnng time to even have our inland applications opened, must less `examined' for errors. Since the OP only mailed the application last month, that means that CIC not only received it...and should have issued AOR, but actually started working on the application?!?!

Best of luck with round 2 missboon!

No, that's how they actually work. They issue the initial AOR after checking the application for it's completeness. They don't go into case specifics but just make sure the requirements on the checklist have been included with the application and that the forms are complete and free from error. After that they put it in the queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer.

Its true they clearly told me in the letter that my application even if returned correctly will be put into the good ole QUE pile ::) They made it clear that my application has not been processed yet..

Hi All

I am new to this Forum would appreciate your experienced advice on my issues.

1) I have submitted my spousal inland PR application on April 15,2013. Did'nt decided at that time to combine my extension of Open Work Permit application at once. As the timeline for 1st step was 6 months and now it increased to 11 months

2) I have my OWP status till Aug 2014. Still did'n't received any news about my application and it seems reading the posts that it hopefully be in 2 months time.

So, my question is whether to send my extension OWP application now or to wait for 1 step approval. What would be my status and wait period

Thanks

Hi Kevin. Welcome to the forum!

My opinion of your situation would be that you shouldn't worry about sending your OWP before the Stage 1 Approval. They're moving fairly quick these days and it seems like that they could catch up on April applications as soon as next month.

So if you were to submit a OWP application by mail right now, it's unlikely they'd be able to match and process it with your PR application before the approval.
I would suggest you wait till the Stage 1 approval (AIP) and apply OWP with it. You will also benefit from being able to apply for OWP online which has a shorter processing time.

Also as you mentioned your current OWP expires in August '14, that should buy you more than enough time to renew your OWP whichever route you go, assuming your application is straight forward.

Hopefully someone can give a second opinion or correct me if I'm wrong.

Got my OWP by mail today, dated Dec 30, valid till Dec 30 2014.

Now im just waiting on my Landing date information

Hello.

I have a couple questions;

What is the next step after CIC receives requested docs as of FBI Certificate from states?.

I have a question. is there anyone who received their PR and the Permanent SIN. did you have to update your new permanent SIN with all your previous accounts using your temp SIN as in CC and bank accounts etc?

Hey, all! I was wondering if there were any Americans who have sent their FBI clearances after they sent their application. I was also wondering how you all did your medicals? Did you send them upfront? I think with processing times being what they are, I was considering waiting until stage one was done to complete my medicals. What do you all think?

it's just so great to be in a place where I know people are going through what I'm going through. The help is outstanding and it's comforting to know I'm not alone!

Last week the applicants sent on Feb 2013 already received their AIP. So you will get it in next few week, I think.

I am sure it has been answered a thousand times already but I cant seem to find it now :'(
