AOR received! Finally got the email today! :) So thankful that CIC worked today!!

Anyway, the email states that family members need to take medical too? How does that work? Does it include parents and siblings?

No, only the applicant who will do the medical check. However it would be better to wait until they ask you to do it. Good to hear that the CIC works as well today ;)

Congrats on your AOR! The first of many steps on the long road! I will also chip in my two cents and agree with Alexandre, wait to do your medical (just the applicant) until you've received AIP 11 months from now (or possibly sooner depending on how the timeline changes with CICs processing times). My husband had his medicals done before we sent our application so that we could include them with the package. Now we're hoping that we get AIP/DM at the same time so that he doesn't have to redo the medicals and shell out another wad of money to get it done as the medicals for immigration are only valid for a year.

Also, glad to see that CIC was working today!

Sorry, I meant AIP received. Got too excited and got confused. OWP approved as well. :) AOR received Feb 25, 2013. *how do I update this to the spreadsheet?*

Will be calling for an appointment for medicals on Monday when everything re-opens. Do we need the medical form to be mailed to us from CIC or will the doctor on the panel have the form?

Anyway, I am also a little lost on getting the police documents. I am from Singapore where they require the letter from CIC before allowing for the request of the police certificate. My question here is, must the certificate be mailed direct from the police or do we forward it onto CIC after receiving it?

Somewhat, the stress doesn't seem to go down right after receiving the AIP. So much to rush and do with the 3 months deadline to get medicals and police certs in.

Happy holidays everyone!! We are having awful weather here in Winnipeg today. :(

You can apply for the police certificate from Singapore and ask them to send to you. When you receive your police certificate in hand, you can send it to CIC including your identification number on CIC. Congratulation for your AIP and OWP :)

Congrats!........

You will need your Client ID for setting up the medical exam appointment. The original police documents are mailed by the applicant to the CIC, so you have to obtain those documents from whomever and the mail those to CIC.

Congrats on AIP! Very good to hear :)

tell me about awful weather, we got stuck in the Alberta storm that swept through last night. I have never, and I mean never in my life seen so many semis and cars in the ditch or even completely blocking the road. What a normal drive taking about half an hour end up on 4!
