Hi guys,

Just a heads up I got my landing date for Jan.22 2014, I land in Calgary agent told they had sent me landing letter via e-mail today (which I haven't gotten yet) and if I don't get the email within a few days I should call back so landing letter could be sent for me via snail mail.

Congratulations aakpawan ;D that's pretty nice.

Not bad for the office in Calgary. I've been nervous about it because everybody says it's the slowest office and I live in Calgary as well.

Is there anyone here who applied in May? It really sucks waiting but I know we will all SMILE in the end. 2014 is our year of testimony.

Hi there, check this spreadsheet and you'll find May Inlanders there.

Nothing. It won't matter and your application will be processed in Vegreville since it was an inland application. That field ONLY matters if there is a choice of offices and in your case there isn't.

That's good to hear. Thank you, computergeek!

Hey giorjana

Someone asked me if there is a way his friend on ''3 months W1'' visa can stay after the duration of his stay. He was wondering if it can be extended or....
The friend just want to remain in Canada but wants to stay legally. His work visa is only valid for 3 months and after that he is expected to leave Canada.
I know this is not the right forum but I couldn't find a right answer for him. Can someone help me with a valid correct answer/suggestion to give please.

Congrats aakpawan on getting the landing date.
Thanks giorjana for providing the info., I have updated the sheet.

Nice! That means we will be getting our goodnews at almost the same time. Did u apply for OWP? I am so tired of waiting. I came to Canada as an jnternational student. I got married in my 3rd year and now fast forward to now I have 2 kids. I couldnt continue scnool cos of baby. Now my study permit expired this year but I applied for OWP and spousal sponsorship a month before my study permit expire which I guess gives me implied status. I have 1 year old and 2months old daughters. No work, no scnool. I am just patiently waitin.

Thank you so much Bebecharmed, the situation is that his employer will not extend his work permit after 3 months and he is not intending leaving after three months but he is looking for a way to stay here in a legal way but currently doesn't know what to do to achieve that.
