GOT AIP, WORK PERMIT and DM ALL TOGETHER! YAY! Any idea how long it takes for the Calgary office to contact us?

It could up to 90-100 days or more to land for Calgary, I got AIP,DM,OWP too on Nov 14th. Am also from yyc too. So we in for another 3- 4 months or more wait roughly before we can land because they say yyc office is always so busy.

Congrats you guys....wow, you got really lucky! February applicants, its almost your turn.. :)

Whoever is doing mine and Salsa's applications must be taking it reeeeaalllyyyy slow. lol.

We got our Sponsor approval e-mail on Nov. 19th but no second e-mail confirming the Applicant/Work permit part - so I'm kind of back waiting with you guys too! ???

It is strange, do you try to call them ?

Boooooooooring, 2 AIP's a day is getting boring, lets get back to the numbers of the last couple weeks!!

I did but they're so busy that my call gets disconnected before anyone comes on the line. I was advised in the 2012 thread that it could take a couple of days to receive that second part so I'm trying to be patient. If we don't hear anything today I will try calling first thing in the morning and hopefully have better luck getting through.

When approved do we have to redo our Sin card ?

I believe so! Once i get OWP i will definitely be going to let them know about it.

Congrats to those who received AIPs today!

I'm the one who was quoted from the 2012 thread who sent my police certificate and did my medical exam AFTER I sent in my app, but BEFORE CIC requested it. I am obviously very glad I made the choices I did, as I received AIP and DM on the same day, and I've since landed and await only my PR card before this is all behind me. I wanted to add one little detail, though. I already had my UCI (there are a few small differences when you apply within Québec; I received my UCI at AOR, as we were instructed to submit the Québec undertaking to request the CSQ) when I did the medical. I'm not sure whether or not having just the sponsor's UCI is enough to match documents to your file. I would *think* so, but we all know common sense is no way to figure out what will work with CIC.

hi i send my medicla after application but i never recevied confirmation about this like its added to my application, juste the call center tel mi its add to my application, can you tell me how you do reveive conformation.

You won't get any additional confirmation. I, too, did my medical after application and before CIC's request, but I never even saw "medical received" on ECAS until after DM. I did send a CSE (case specific enquiry) to CIC. It wasn't answered for a month, so I sent a second, and eventually I received a reply stating that my medical exam and police report had been matched to my file. You've already received this information from the call centre, and I think that's all you're going to get.

I have a question.......I am a bit confused with the time line stated on the CIC website.

It says 11 mths for step 1 and 11 mths for step 2, would that mean that from application to landing is 22 mths?

If so, I am seeing from the time lines of persons on here where the entire process is roughly 11 mths - application to landing. I am referring to inland applications.

Can any one help me understand this better?
