This really keeps our hopes high! I am checking even more frequently now both ecas and emails!! Would be a nice early Christmas gift to receive AIP and start looking for jobs

About OWP. If you sent an application for OWP with your PR application, OWP will be sent after AIP. OWP is sent by snail mail.
My OWP is valid for 2 years. (Because I asked so when I sent the application)
Even if it's valid for 2 years, OWP must be returned when you have a landing interview at your local office. I hope I will not need the OWP anymore soon.

hi guys i received email from CIC today. this is what it says on the letter.
This letter refers to tour application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in canada class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in canada class. however, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. these requirements include medical, security and backgrounds checks for you and if applicable all of your family members both in canada and abroad even if they are not applying to join you in canada at this time. you cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have these requirements.
you may now apply for an open work work permit which allow you to work in the occupation and location of your choice.
My question are:
1. Is this AIP already?
2. I did my medical last May 2013 but on ecas its not updated. Do i have to call them that i already did my medical?
3. And last i included my Open work permit application when i submitted my application. Do i have to inform them too?
