Yes. 1 means passed. You can ask your sponsor to write to Mississauga and demand a concrete answer. Sponsor should be the one to write, not you. Tell them GCMS code has indicated the Eligibility assessment is complete as passed, code '1'. Will they be able to issue OWP to the sponsored spouse at this moment. See what they respond and please share with us. Include the file information (UCI, sponsor and applicant data).

it's better for them to show no update than no progress. the public will BBQ them for Friday dinner. CIC is already under fire now huge angers coming from many people.

Yeah, I know... why didn't we apply in mid July last year instead of mid August??? If so, we could've at least gotten the AIP and OWP while ago... sigh..

I already filed inland application to sponsor my spouse with open work permit. CIC received it on 05 Sep 2014 but no letter for acknowledgement.
My Spouse study permit going to expired by the end of September. I know that she will get the implied status.
But to be on safer side i also applied for her visitor visa once her study permit expired to be on safer side. I also wrote them that she already applied for her sponsorship.

Is this wise to do it or i already make the mistake, Because i did not hear from them till now after 5 days of online filing the application.

Any advice in this regard after all the things done should be appreciated

I thought Harmin was going through some kind of problems in the marriage and that's why he withdrew the application.
But yeah, I can't imagine what kind of positive things he would be saying if he was still around...
