Hi guys. I know there was a conversation about it already, but just to confirm. For people who were on IEC program and your work permit expired did you apply for tourist visa or not, if you have applied inland and didn't receive AIP?
I think you only need to apply for OWP with your application, before your current status expires, that will grant you Implied Status.
I had the same question before, I contacted CIC and they sent me an e-mail explaining, as long as they still processing, implied status is valid.
If you haven't sent a OWP with the application, you probably need to apply for a tourist visa to hold a valid status.
Maybe someone in this situation can help you more!!!

Hi Guys,

Just wondering, I have changed my address on E-cas and they still haven't updated after 2 months!
The address is wrong, the number probably doesn't exist.
Last time I've changed my address they updated on E-cas, but sent a letter to my old address anyway.

Anyone else have the same issue before?

Would CIC make the changes over the phone?!

Thank You!!!!

Do I have to call to make sure they change?!

Thank YOU!!!!
I've updated my address online like a year ago

and when I called CIC recently, they still have my old address on file, but the address on ecas was correct though....

so I say you should call them

Hey Alurra71,

On 12 June, I received AIP through email. On the June 13th, I received an email stating what you have mentioned. And on 20th June, I received a mail from etobicoke office stating that the interview is on 24th June.

So, is that landing??
yes. it is landing. I tried to read back to what was posted and didn't see anything mentioned about Etobicoke. Congratulations, in that case. You will be a PR on the 24th. Bring your passport, any OWP or any other visa you have, your spouse and his/her ID and you will be set to go.

Guys, This is what i got this morning........is this DM??

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in CIC ETOBICOKE will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application.

IMPORTANT: You and your family members, if any, will be required to present original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre at your appointment. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents.

Hi AllurrA7,

Now that m worried, just making sure,

This is what I got in my e-mail last Friday.......this was hopefully DM.

Will also share with the letter I got.

Thanks so much.......

Nope, you got it all covered. Unless they specifically asked for something else with your letter you are good to go. Take a deep breath, there is absolutely NOTHING to worry about, it's a very simple process to complete.

Does anyone know if the Toronto Star published the story on INLAND PR applications ?? i was curios what the CIC's comments / response was to the slow down in processing times after moving the files to Mississauga.... really curious actually... the move was supposed to SPEED THINGS UP... instead its slowed down big time.

Hey Alurra71,
Thanks so much for a prompt reply.

Apart from what I mentioned , my landing letter says, get all documents in original. I just hope these ones they are talking about.

I remember few people who have already landed were talking about address proof, is it for the sponsor or for both of us?

Sorry if m asking too many questions.

Thanks so much

Hi Princess029,

Yes, if you have applied for Inland sponsorship, then this is mandatory. This where the COPR is issued.

With all the information that I have gathered so far from this forum, it's basically to verify details. They ask a few questions to the sponsor and the Principal applicant and the COPR is then issued on that basis.

Hopefully all goes well tomorrow . Anxiety level is super high.

May God Bless Us All.

Thanks
