What does your letter say? Are you sure its not the landing "transfer"? Normally once a file is approved, it will go to your local office for a landing appointment.

We never got emails or maik even though we have AIP. They had drafted it but never sent it out (according to the call center). Too lazy I guess

Hi all, I called CIC again today to see if AIP was issued for us and I was told that the medical has been passed, the criminal check has been passed. The sponsor has been approved and that it should be a matter of time before they approve the file. The file has been marked for January 1st 2015...

So I called the call center and they said the sponsor is approved. They are now working on my part of the first stage and we should hear any minute now. As for the second stage it has been marked for the beginning of 2015!!! So it seems that they will get rid of july 30th after all #fingerscrossed#.

Apparently they are different, there is two parts to first stage approval. I believe we have sponsor approval only (if that's what the letter is) and no AIP. I think we'll see some movement soon :)

It didn't update on my ecas until today and I did mine in june 2013. Its very normal :)
