Thankyou,,, another question so interview usually comes after the medical and police clearance during the 2nd stage?

Interview 'usually' comes before AIP. I'm sure you won't have to worry about the interview. Though once you get DM you will have a landing interview. 'Usually' the landing interview is straightforward as they ask questions if you are still with your spouse, committed any crimes in Canada etc.

I've been lurking the boards for a little while now. My inland application was received on april 8th 2013. We finally got a letter asking us to apply for the csq on january 20th. Our credit card got charged for that today!! We will probably have a long wait ahead of us because my husband has a criminal record in the states. We have a 5 year old daughter together so hopefully that will help us! Trying to stay possitive through all of this but its getting difficult.

thats odds i never hear took 8 months that long to ask ur CSQ ....usually month or 2 months

Our lawyer says that it happens. That we should expect for everything to take longer than it does for straight forward applications. Only thing we can do now is wait and see She says she's never had a spouse refused for the CSQ at least we can breath a little for this part of the application.

Yup! My COC finally swam here. LOL! Keep me posted, I am going to try calling CIC tomorrow to check as well.

Tuesdayc ..I just spoke with my lawyer about additional document and he told me he never received any letter from CIC about my file transfer cpc-v to cpc-m, so he send all additional document to same place where we send our application before ..by the way better u call CIC for double check with them ... 8) 8) 8)

RCMP cost you nothing for immigration purpose . I guess it is better to submit it along with your other one

JLynn I think its gonna cost u about $65 ...you can go to any RCMP near office ...

I looked it up, and it will cost about $85 here. Yikes! I can't wait to start making some money!!!

If you are a us citizen then send in the FBI and maybe your state certificate. If they want RCMP, they will request it, but for us citizen not likely.

When my common-law partner applied in Sept 2013, she applied 2 days before her police certificate expired.
She's from Japan and its a long and difficult process to get them again so i was wondering, do you guys think they will request her to send in new and updated police checks since they've obviously expired while we wait for AIP??

also, we applied 1 month before her medicals expired...
I wonder if these two things will prevent us from getting DM at the same time as AIP..

We waited 9 months since DM with no word from the Vancouver office, until we heard back from the Call Centre that my wife's medical results have expired. Vancouver has sent my wife's file to Mississauga to get an extension on medical results. If Mississauga approves, then my wife's file goes back to Vancouver, where I hope they expedite the landing appointment process. If Mississauga doesn't approve, then my wife has to do her medical tests again, which further delays the process by several months.

Make sure your medical results have not expired! That could be the problem. I kept calling the Call Centre to see if everything was ok for the past several months, and they said "no problem, the Vancouver office is just busy...". It's only in the 9th month (after I called 100 times) that they finally discovered the problem that my wife's medical results have expired.
