it's crazy Cic transfer your application to the local office and did not inform you, my Application transfer to the local office in Edmonton on nov 18,2013 i'm just waiting on my notes . They received my application in March. Bob Marley say never give up the fight.

Hi Hilo, if you can, keep me posted on what happens with yours. Specially when you hear from the Edmonton office so that I can get some sort of a timeframe for mine. We just submitted the request for notes on our case (ATIP), so we should get more clarity in the next few weeks.

I'm so happy for everyone! I can't believe how fast CIC is now working! I remember when I was still waiting for my AIP. It was so stressful! Hahaha I can't wait for my DM. Good luck everyone!! ;D

CIC JUST UPDATE 8 MONTH FOR 1ST STAGE ..THEY R WORKING ON MAY28 APPLICATION ...THAT'S MEAN THEY ALREADY WORKING WITH JUNE APPLICATION ...ANOTHER 2 WEEKS THEY GONNA DONE WITH JULY AND LAST WEEK OF THE FEB OUR TURN GUYS ..I AM VERY POSITIVE WITH MY GUESS GUYS..

Thank you. My husband did apply for his health card, we are in Ontario. His coverage kicks in Feb 13th. We had to go to the Service Ontario head office in Peel, they asked to see 2 proofs of address, we showed our lease, and bank statements, we had to show the AIP letter, he had to show banking cards (credit card, debit card)....quite a bit of info but nonetheless application went through, that was back on Jan 23rd, still haven't seen the health card come through the mail yet though.

I think it will take 90 days for the coverage to take effect from the date of AIP receipt no? I am sure that you will receive the healthcard in mail this week or the next week if you count the expected delivery time of 2 to 4 weeks.Anyways, I havent applied for my wifes ohip yet. I dont know how to. Do I print the AIP letter and take it to service ontario? We both live together and I can only show the lease agreement. But we do not share the same banking info. Its only on my name. I live in etobicoke. I dont know which office should i go to.

I'm glad to see Inland Applications are flying! in one week they cleared a whole month! Amazing....but I must say.....new work permit went from working on Dec 1st to only Dec 8th.....UGH!!!

We all received AOR when we sent in our original applications.....since we sent in the OWP AFTER receiving AIP would we get some kind of acknowledgement when they received our OWP application?

My husband and I share an email address, and I haven't noticed a thing! Our letters say as well that he would be contact "shortly" but nothing! We sent in the OWP Dec 27th and meds done Jan 23rd. I called Monday (Feb 3rd) for an update....CIC agent "couldn't" see if they OWP was being processed yet and said I'd need to email the processing centre in a MONTH for an update I asked if she could see if the medical results have been received again she had no answer.

If you had sent in the documents via expresspost, check the tracking number where it should say whther the package was delivered there or not. If it was delivered succesfully, then it should be ok.

We sent it via Canada post, regular mail. Only because it was like $16 to track it....now I'm kicking myself in a$$ for being so cheap!

I forgot to ask one thing. Where and how much did you pay for the medical checkup. and which form should i fill up for work permit?

Yes bring the AIP letter with you, bring all support documents you have with you to show the address your wife lives at etc. Passport all that. Go to Service Ontario's website and there is a form you can fill out, print and bring with you. Call any Service Ontario directly before going and explain what you want to get your wife's OHIP card and that she has her AIP and ask at which office can you apply.
