Processing times of stage 2 were updated, too... From 8 to 11 months :-\

hi guys do not pay attention to the updated 11 mths for stage 2 it will take a much shorter time for most apps .I believe that frm now on they will be very quick in issuing only AIP for 2013 apps.

I am new here, please excuse my grammar if its crappy. I reside in Canada and have applied for PR through spousal sponsorship. Me and my wife got married in Canada in June.Currently i am living with her. An emergency back home (UK) has risen and i have to go for 2 weeks or so. Do you think i might have a problem re-entering Canada when i come back. I have already been here 5 months and my visitors visa is running out next month.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I am in the same boat, a family member of mine back home in Denmark has fallen seriously ill, but I don't think I will take the chance and leave, but it's more or so because I had past problems at the border. I would personally avoid it if possible.

Your file in stage 2 does it get transfered to
Your country where you orginally from or it get transfered
In canada somewhere

if you applied inland it stayes in canada, if you applied outland it goes to the country you indiciated on you application.

I have another question: When we sent the CIC our application we were under the impression that I only needed to show my German criminal record. Do they need a Canadian one, too? I believe it doesn't take too long to get one, but I am curious if this is even necessary.

One should think you'd get AIP this week Salsa! I'm really hoping you do. At the latest you should get it next week. I'm really hoping I get mine next week as well.

I sure hope so CANUSA31, we should pretty much get our AIP's around the same time. DM +AIP's same day will be great, the 11 month additional wait will be too long. Seriously it will take 22 months to process both stages, thats almost 2 years. So yes here's to AIP+DM sameday for 2013 applicants.

22 months is outrageous. If I get my OWP, which should come with my AIP, I think I might have to go home for a little bit. I know its frowned upon, but being from the USA, and having AIP/OWP I should be safe. But we will see.
