Hey guys!

My gf is on a post grad work permit (1 year remaining)

she is submitting her family class - common-law application this week along with a OWP application.
We REALLY REALLY hope that we get AIP within 12 months ! otherwise she will have to quit her job since Post grad work permits dont get 'implied status' (something i learned today)

SO..my question... is do you think she will get AIP within 12 months?
It's tough to say. I've been unemployed since February with only my boyfriend making as much as he list le can.. Struggling? Yes. But it shouldn't take 12 months or longer for AIP

CRA can audit any return. They don't care about the status of sponsorship or immigration. They just want your money.
I think you're right.. I had a pretty good return last January.. About 6G. But the lady in H&R said that its big because I worked in NS with 15% tax almost all 2012 then moved to AB with only 5% required tax. Also I claimed my husband's and I's son. I was considered a single mo, cause we didn't get married until January.

I agree, but there must be other circumstances if that's true.

There is 1 person on the 2013 timeline that got their AIP at least already......

Will you look at that. They are now working on Oct. 15 applications. Not a huge jump, but at least it's a jump. Let's see how long this one lasts. :-X

That's because their application had a large amount of red flags and they where quickly scheduled for an interview. After they had proven their genuine relationship they immediately got AIP.

Well ours has red flags for technicalities (lots of record checks, since he's lived all over, a minor record in the US, my previous application for my ex-husband which was cancelled before he was approved), but not for the genuiness of our relationship.....(we aren't very far apart in age, we have known each other and been together a long time, we have a son born here)

I would LOVE to be scheduled right away for an interview and get AIP :D

Great for them!! I'm happy for everyone who gets their AIPs and DMs quickly...it should NOT take as long as it does!!!!

I hope we aren't going for an interview. As genuine as our relationship and we got plenty to prove we've been living together for a long, well even dated for over 3 years now I absolutely hate being interviewed.. :)

We are pretty close he's 25 I'm 23. We share religions there are close somewhat, never been married before or anything like that. Only issue I have been thinking is my parents disagreed on me moving out here and didnt support in any letters or statements at all. Which I understand to a point. But his mama adores me so she made this 2-3 pages statement telling everything in detail haha bless her :)

I doubt we will be going in either. The only thing we have against us is that we signed the marriage certificate well in advance (to be able to apply earlier) of our actual wedding and my parents weren't present.

I'd be worried about our interview because my husband is quite.. ditzy. He doesn't even remember his own birthday at times!

To be honest the applications should be split into 2 piles.

1 Pile of applications which have absolutely No technicalities at all, the most straight forward cases in the world to process, applications from known countries, like UK, some good places of Europe. These cases would be so easy to process that if the agent reading the application could have it completed within a week and you can have you're PR status...

The other applications pile should include people applying for poor/middle eastern counties, people who have children, how have been married before or who's application will be red flagged straight away for many reasons because its the people and applications like these which are slowing up the whole process for us people who have a normal, clean, easy and perfect application.

From the moment the applications on the desk of the person checking it shouldn't take long to process, he reads it and checks the application, makes sure its a real relationship etc then process it its because of the most complicated cases that delays everyone's

I hate to say this.. But you are one ignorant human being. I can't even believe you are writing this. How do you think someone would like to read that? No matter where one is from, they can be as genuine as everybody else.

They should be considered equally as any other application...
