The past 2 weeks have been great!

I was looking at the spreadsheet and comparing the rate of AIPs per day before CIC became the Sleeping Beauty.

Looks like after FINALLY being awakened, they are working at the same pace as they were before the halt.

This is good news!

Not quite sure why they are delaying DMs though... Maybe they first want to deal with the AIP backlog?

I agree azarme!! I am really hoping they begin processing again like before. Before they were doing 1 MONTH every WEEK!! That would be AMAZING! But any pick up is better than the complete stop from before!

I think the 14 month processing looks so bad they are going to focus on bringing that down to make themselves look better before focusing again on DMs.

While I understand this is probably frustrating to those waiting for DM, it is for the greater good the more ppl that can get their AIPs and OWPs as soon as possible and then catch up the rest of the DMs. At least being able to work and have Health Care will be SUCH a relief!

Hoping for non stop receiving AIPs OWP and DM.. especially Christmas vacation is coming.. I prayed that CIC will continue what they are doing now and put more time in assessing the application. By the end of this year 2013 applicant will have AIPs OWPs and DMs.. and Early next year 2014 applicants will receive the awaiting AIP and OWP. DM can wait. Hahahaj. My wife is so bored in the house already and wants to work.

My stomach drops/knots up for a moment everytime I hit refresh on my email right now (which is like every minute...or less,..lol..not getting much work done!!)....though I know realistically, cuz of our issues it could still be months til we get AIP, but cuz of the dates moving up, it is SOOOO close I can just smell it and taste the AIP now!!!!!!! lol

If they are delaying DMs then there will be another backlog when they start granting DMs. For some of us the DM is more important than the AIP as we have family elsewhere. A grandmother died and no funeral attendance etc. If we are all one group then everyones needs should be equal.

This is why an OWP that is issued to a person without status has something like `Not a Valid Residency Document' (or similar),

The OWP is based on the AIP...and since an out of status can get AIP, that's the reason why.

So I assume when someone has applied status then gets an OWP it does not have that statement. Correct?

Thank you SOO much Carlaganda!!! I am really hoping so. One half of me is expecting to see everyone after us, into September and November get their AIPs before us because of the issues. The other half is expecting it...NOW! lol

Even our AOR was double the time of everyone elses who applied during the same time period.... :-s

Did you apply outland? This doesn't look like an inland application to me.
