I just got the confirmation letter along with my work permit in the mail!!

Hey guys, quick question. Do both spplicant and sponsor get an email w the Aip letter?? Is is the two in most cases or just the sponsor.... :s

I hope they don't consider our app's date on the date our Client update form was received.

We are 10th April. And the only thing written is Application received on 10 April. Did you call them?

Ok so we have the exact same thing goin on. Well i didnt keep callin cause they wouldnt answer and then ive been going by what the forum says... Did u?

Well, what exactly says the forum? I've read so many opinions and some say there is no delay and the others say we have to wait 2-3 months to attach our files.

We both got email, and the ecases were updated few days later, both emails were almost the same, mine just had extra info about the approved work permit

Thx karito... And Imim... In a nutshell, everyones process is kinda done differently, or so it seems? The bottomline seems to be just sit and keep waiting... Maybe keep tryn to call them and ask? Sigh. Pray for us guys... Thx for ur support!

guys... FINALLY some news. so my husband checked his email, and got the pdf letter saying...

FOR THE SPONSOR:
This refers to the Application to sponsor a member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in
Canada Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXXXXXXX and family (if
applicable).
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent
Residence will be processed separately and the applicant will hear from this office shortly.
Your sponsorship agreement is a formal agreement between you and your family member... (and so on....)

I didn't get anything myself yet, or on the mail. but just askin u guys, is this IT??? i need to confirm before we go out to celebrate. is this the AIP??

GUYS!!! i just received an email myself saying that i as applicant meet the requirements to be permanent resident!!!! this is the AIP!!!!!!

If that's what the letter says, it's better than AIP - it means you'll be landing soon.

guys thanks... for ur support and everything again. so they are just requestiing me the medicals and only one police certificate. (lived in several countries). in the letter to me it said that my work permit got approved.. so i should be expecting it any day so.. soon!! DD couldn't be happier. u guys be patient.
