Call Center agent never tell you the exact waiting time. It is always more than average so applicants don't call them every week saying that oh by the way you told me the waiting time is such and such days.

It can be longer. CIC ITAP has 30 calendar days to process your request.
But generally it takes about 2 weeks.

ya, i know that.
thank you ;D

My time line ..........Theresa_Lynn how are you? Did you get anything yet?
Permanent Residence

We received your application for permanent residence on June 16, 2010.

We started processing your application on August 26, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We received the requested information on March 10, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

They call for Police clearance from country of origin I send it on 30th May 2011 but not yet 2nd stage approval. I got my 1st stage approval & work permit on 6th April 2011.

Any comments........................................................please feel free thanks

Hey, Mark_Anna, if you sent the police clearance on the 30th of May and CIC received it in a few days, no postal strike involved, they will look at your files after 90 days after receiving it. Means around the end of August, this is the common policy unfortunately. Be patient and start calling them in September if you don`t get any updates till then.

Hi Love Young. Here are my stats if you want to put them in the new chart: App received: Oct 29, 2010, processing began Dec. 9, 2010, and all requested information was received Feb 9, 2011. Thank you so much for compiling all of this. I really appreciate that there are people out there like you who are doing this. I still find the CIC number to be helpful, but they obviously don't share personal stories like these.

Thanks LoveYoung.

Anyway here's my time line

Application sent - December 2009
First Stage Approval and Work Permit - September 2010
Second Stage - May 2011
Call from CIC Ottawa informing of Landing date (they were calling people due to the Canada Post lockout) - June 2011
Landing date - July 12, 2011

Thanks for updating your timeline, however, I do keep the chart itself to only those applications sent in 2010 just because it keeps it more accurate. Last time I added a member from 2009 to the chart, I had several people that even applied in 2008 wanting to be added but I decided to keep with the title of the chart. However, please do not stop posting here. We accept all inlanders. It is only the chart that is for 2010 applicants. I hope you still find yourself at home here. :D CONGRATS, on landing soon.

Thank you so much for providing that information. Its information like this that really helps everyone else. Aww and thank you for your kindness, I am just so glad that I can help so many of you. It makes me smile daily. :)

Ditta thanks for your kind reply.

Yes the 3 months waiting period is right but I think it is not after they receive our documents. They will count 3 months from the date of letter they issue "Police clearance request letter" so in my case they issue it on 6th April 2011 so my 3 months will over on 6th July 2011.

In the case of Theresa_Lynn same thing happen, when she called them, they said will take 6 weeks to add new documents that means total 3 months which start from the date of their request letter for police clearance.

Thanks again Ditta...................any one to comment on this issue...............thanks

Question for people out there who have already received first stage approval...did it say your medical results were received before you actually had approval, mine were sent last summer but it doesn't appear in ecas.

So frustrating...I just called CIC today and they said I will hear before the end of July that is still 1 month away. I am going to be bothered tomorrow if the date changes to a date past when my application arrived.

You already know, but I have yet to go through the process, so take my theory with a grain of salt.

I personally think the medical results show up in your e-Cas when your 1st stage is almost wrapped up. I'm just basing that from what I've seen from alot of timelines.

We applied 8,5 months ago and my medical results are not displaying in the e-Cas also.
When we called to the Call Centre, agent explained they got them and there is no problem with my medical check.

But I am wondering about this situation. If medical results was received and everything is good regarding this check why they are not showing up in the system?
Many people got the "e-Cas medical notification" much early than 9 month.... that makes me worried...

Is it possible that they will add this notification in e-Cas together with the 1st stage approval notification?

From what I understand is, Meds Recieved is the 2nd stage of approval ! as its in the 3 admissable catergories for the 2nd stage of approval ..

Criminal
Medical
Security .

Hi everybody,

It seems that Canada post finished the strike. So, now things are going back to the normality!

Cheers

yes, i thought the same way until i have read some posts on this forum from people who got an approval of both stages together.
In their case CIC started background, medical and other checks before the first stage approval. As i understand they changed internal process rules to reduce processing time.
In my case for example they already started RCMP checks, that usually happens on the second stage.
So i don't understand why medical results are not displaying in the e-Cas system.
