Welcome Ottawa. You have to promise keep us posted for the rest of your decisions.

Heidy, call CIC and ask them for your client id number. Then you can go on the CIC website and see if it is in process on e-cas. Your file was received over a month ago. It should be in process by now. I am not sure where you can send additional info. You may want to post this question in the 2010 inland thread. They are very knowledgeable.

Thanks Angtao, I will call them tomorrow to check...and thanks for the suggestion
Cheers

They asked as well, we checked our application and indeed, we did not provide job information for january-February-March and April... when we filled up the application we went by 12 months calendar (year) and we stopped at January...so CIC is asking for the above mentioned months :-(...

Well i guess they just want the most recent information...!!i have already sent the updates.Lets wait and see!

Cheers,

6 day jump today. Not bad. It could have been even less then that with people taking time off in the summer plus all the long weekends.

No working on apps received on Oct.8

Hi Angtao,

How did you find out that you are on process? I sent my application on 22 June and CIC received on June 23 but I still could not find whether I am on process or not as I don't have client ID? It has been more than a month now since I sent, please instruct me how to find my status. Also, I want to update my missing documents so how could I send and how would CIC notify that they are mine to put my application together? please let me know as soon as possible....

Thanks a lot in advance for your answers
Heidy

General correspondence (general inquiries, documents requested by CPC Vegreville, withdrawal requests, additional information):

Do you have visitor record / visa ? You can find your client # if you do. If you come from a visa exempt country then you may need to call CIC call center to find out your client #. CIC usually open the package after a month they received it, so just relax.

I'll suggest you sending your additional documents after you have your client # in case there is someone has the same or similar name as yours or it might be lost because the worker couldn't find your original papers.

Good luck

Hi all,

I am glad to inform you that I've just received the visitor record from CIC this morning. In which I have my client # and so I can update my documents from now on. Thanks all for answering my questions (especially to AmandaHsu and Angtao).

Angtao,

Please update my status now is "in process" starting from June 29 (much earlier than I thought :D). I will update my information once I got any from CIC.

Good luck to everyone and ME.

Wow Heidi, that is amazing. Only 5 days after you sent it they opened it.

:o Lucky. I had to wait 2 1/2 months to know and e-Cas didn't work for me until about the 8 month mark.
You guys are very lucky. Lol.

I know LY. 5 days is crazy for processing. I doubt it would speed up the process though. It is still a 9.5 month wait to hear about AIP.

Hubby and I are looking at mid-January to hear something and it isin't even August yet:(

That is just great though. I mean I had to worry for about 3 months before actually knowing my application wouldn't be returned. It drove me nuts so count your blessings that you all found out sooner. Just hang tight, trust me if I can make it through this you can. I am the most impatient and worrisome thing in this world.

I beeen sponsored by my common-law partner and our application is in process starting May 31 2011. I have an Implied status right now since i applied for an open work permit together with the sponsorship application before my work permit expired. Im
Not working anymore coz my employer didnt renew my contract. Now, we plan on visiting the Philippines so we dicided to apply for a visit visa so i can still go back here in Canada but unfortunately it got refused. Im wondering whats my chances of getting an approved visa if i reapply coz we didnt mention on that refused visit visa that we're planning to visit Phils and you think providing the booked plane ticket goibg to the Phils would help if i reapply? Please help coz everything is planned for this trip :(

I get an implied status because I applied for an open work permit (together with the sponsorship application) right before my work permit expired. Right now Im not working anymore so while waiting for that open work permit, my status is called Implied. We did applied for the sponsorship in Canada and I'm still in Canada right now. So there's no way I can go out Canada for the meantime coz I cant go back without a valid visa?

Hi threa,

yeah its good to stay in Canada while your case in under process. Hope everything works out for you.

Naz

I have a question to ask!

If you apply for the extension of visitor while your Case is under progress in Canada, do they put a sticker on your passport or send you a Visitor permit(Paper)?

Naz

Hi Naz and Threa.

Can you please give us your time line so I can add you guys to the chart?

Naz, when my husband applied to extend his status they just sent him a visitor extension paper.
