canadagirl, I think that is normal. I have heard of other people getting stuff like that too to fill out. It probably means that it was not filled out correctly or you left it blank. I would not worry.

Can you apply if your PR is on going and you are visiting here? I have told by someone that you have to leave Canada and apply from outside which i dont want to do.

What is the procedure to get Postgraduate open work permit. Sorry if i am asking too many questions.

You only get post graduate work permit if you graduate from college/university in Canada. Basically after graduation a student is eligible to apply for work permit.

I am pretty sure tht you can apply for work permit within canada

Hello... I sent mine all together, sponsor, applicant and OWP... and is in process, however, We insert as a first document, a letter listing all the attchement documentation.

I sent mine all together too, in different smaller envelopes inside a big one but ALL TOGETHER in the same package.
The question is, do they open and check all the documents (sponsor/sponsored) at the first stage, or just the sponsor´s documents?

I think they open everything together but will process ur sponsor application first, if tht approved then owp and stage 2

Hey we got the EXACT same thing... Ours was dated June 23rd. When I checked cease I noticed they didn't input our apt number so I updated that. I thought maybe just us got that letter cause I updated the address:s any news as to why you got this I'm a bit curious now if anyone else got this letter.

Me too, we got the same, asking for job history from January 2011 up to date ...

We did fill out everything, just that they are asking from April 2011, when we filled up the application

I sent my application last month but missing some documents. Now I have all ready with me but at this stage, I have no client ID so my question is: could I update my application to CIC or wait until I hear the client ID from them to avoid missing papers ???? Please advise...

Thanks for creating this thread...very helpful indeed. I applied for wife's PR back in Feb. but had no idea I could get client id # from CIC by simply calling them until I came to this thread. We will be calling CIC today and I will update you with her dates.

Berber, I think that is normal. It means that they are working on your application. Just fill it out and send it back.

Here's to a great jump this week. I would love it if they kept up with these 7 day jumps. I heard that they slow down in the summer.

So far so good.

How did you find out that you are on process? I sent my application on 22 June and CIC received on June 23 but I still could not find whether I am on process or not as I don't have client ID? It has been more than a month now since I sent, please instruct me how to find my status. Also, I want to update my missing documents so how could I send and how would CIC notify that they are mine to put my application together? please let me know as soon as possible....

Welcome Ottawa. You have to promise keep us posted for the rest of your decisions.

Heidy, call CIC and ask them for your client id number. Then you can go on the CIC website and see if it is in process on e-cas. Your file was received over a month ago. It should be in process by now. I am not sure where you can send additional info. You may want to post this question in the 2010 inland thread. They are very knowledgeable.

They asked as well, we checked our application and indeed, we did not provide job information for january-February-March and April... when we filled up the application we went by 12 months calendar (year) and we stopped at January...so CIC is asking for the above mentioned months :-(...
