Nonoo and Suzii and any one else who had to redo expired medicals after first stage...
Ottawa received my medical assessment on 10/10/12.
Sent a letter confirming this to Vegreville.
So that's 2 weeks from exam date to arrival in Ottawa.
No we wait

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do only wait.
I applied in July 2011 and only last week got AIP
My Ecas is the exact same as yours
We just have to wait. It could be a month, it could be 8 or 10. Who knows
There is another person on here who got AIP in Feb of this year and are still waiting. Their Ecas is showing the same as ours

Well Nonoo I haven't checked ecas yet, but I doubt it will show up there for a while. For one thing the doctors send the results to Ottawa and then Ottawa sends it to Vegreville, so who knows how long that transfer will take. But the count has started and I'll let you know how it goes.
I find writing here and reading here helps with the wait.

I just applied for OHIP with no problems.
The coverage starts after 3 month from AIP date. (mine Jan 2.)
(I had the AIP letter , G licence ,foreign passport)

Info about OHIP:
This two link is the OHIP application form and the evidence that we (people who got AIP) can apply for health card.
If you have the second printed , they can't turn you down. (List 1/last apply to us)

where is your local office? did they request anything besides passport? because that could delay the process and depending on how long took you to get the requested info!
because in the AIP letter for me they requested a photocopy of my Passport/ travel document which took me over a month to get a travel document photocopy, I would have been done 2 months earlier, probably the same time as AIP if I had the photocopy of passport/ travel document included in my application.

Hi Guys,

I am a bit concerned about the length of processing times for my application. Here is my timeline:

App received: July 29, 2011.
AOR: Sept 6th 2011
AIP: June 18, 2012.
DM: August 17, 2012 (Shown on Ecas)

My current CiC log shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on July 29, 2011.

We started processing your application on June 18, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

My problem is since my AIP letter I have not received any mail from CIC. Everytime I call, I get the usual clueless reps who keep talking about DM meaning only the 1st stage has been processed(i am the applicant) or havnig to wait for another 8 months blah blah blah. It is getting really frustrating; Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I am from Ottawa by the way

does it say "DM" Under Permanent Resident application? and how long has it been saying "DM" under permanent resident? assuming this is under Applicant's e-cas it should mean your 2nd stage is done and you should get a response confirming it either by mail or email sonn.
my e-case said same thing and I got a letter few days letter confirming the completion of my 2nd stage even though when called CIC they said its only stage 1 the day before the letter which they were incorrect!
typically it shouldn't take more than two weeks for you guys to get a confirmation letter but its hard to know 100% by the way things are done in CIC.

When I called yesterday he just said a letter to me and one to my sponsor were sent out the same day as my OWP
I just want the letter incase they require further information
If they do I want to get it back asap, to avoid any more delays

I think it's gonna b Scarborough but yeah I have a similar case as you! I gt AIP April 27,2012 they said that I have met the requirement to apply for pr, also it says that " the passport/travel document we have on file is expired please provide a valid travel document" so I did and I submitted it back in June 2nd,2012 and them my ecas updated to " we received the requested info. Thanks for providing us with it" and it was dated July 3rd,2012 until today I haven't heard anything back from them but when I called CIC they told me I might take months or years :S but I called again it was another agent she said if you don't get anything from them till end of December give us a call...
