Status in BLS changed "PCC application has been granted. Police Verification has been initiated. After the police verification report is received, PCC will be available for issuance." Does it mean it has been granted? I am confused on the status because the police verification was completed last week.

It may change to 'PCC has been printed' in couple of days. BTW can you share your timeline

Application date: 10th September 2020
Location: Brampton BLS
Status:
10th September 2020 - under process from BLS center to consulate General
11th September 2020 - Processing at consulate General
16th September 2020 - received Police verification Email - verification is done on the same day at the local police station
28th September 2020 - In transmit from consulate General to BLS center
28th September 2020 - shipped - Got Puralot tracking
29th September 2020 - received a courier

Total: 20 days

Do you or anyone need to visit the local police station? Asking this so that I can let my parents know that it needs to be done and also what documents are supposed to be used at local police station?

19th Sept - Submitted in BLS Toronto walk in.
23rd Sept - Initiation of Police Verification Request
27th Sept - Police Verification completed
6th Oct - PCC application has been granted. Police Verification has been initiated. After the police verification report is received, PCC will be available for issuance
7th Oct - Police Clearance Certificate has been printed.

Today I got my pcc delivered by purolator. My wifes pcc is still under review at embassy.
One question to all those who have received it - my pcc is in black and white except for the signature. Is this acceptable for ircc? I read somewhere that ircc needs pcc in color.

Hi, Can anyone help me understand here. I have applied for re-issue of passport tatkal for spouse name addition. Got the police verification mail and police verification was done on same day. After receiving new passport I applied for PCC. Status in porta4 shows as "under review at Indian embassy". I am confused here will there be a second police verification? I have not received any mail saying police verification has been initiated for PCC. I cant track anything on portal1.
1. Can someone clarify if there is going to be second police verification?
2. How do I track where my PCC is stuck? Called local police and he said he has done it from his end for first time but did not receive second request.
3. Two cat numbers generated(one for passport one for pcc) but cant track anything. Any other way where I can track it?
4. How to contact Indian embassy(not cgi).

Yes you may put your parent's number. Police will call them and they need to visit the police station with your documents (copy)
Passport, visa, aadhaar should be good enough

Hi, I see that all of you received an email first for police verification and then status changes to under review.

i applied at bls vancouver. Pickup on 2oct and reached bls on 5oct (i received an automated email saying they received my application and it would tk 4-5 days to process It to cgi and then they would email and notify).

i havent got any email yet. I randomly chkd my status today (Oct 08) (did nt do it since i sent) and see bls says its processing at Consulate while portal4 says its under review at embassy.
My question is how can it be so quick and why have i not received any emails or updates at all from anywhere?
my concern is my passport address and where my family stays is different so its imp for me to knw when they initiate verification so i could tell them to visit the PS or be at my old house then.

Does it mean verification is done or still pending? (Portal1 and 2 says file number js not available in the system)

Hi Anasya, the status on portal4 changed to "under review" as soon as they received my application. CAT number is also generated immediately once the application is received. But police verification email came a week later. Once you get the email that is when the local police will receive the request. So wait for a week and when you get the email you can ask your parents to go there.

I have got only one email that too from bls so far so I was wondering if its normal. People have replied that they got two emails one for receiving the application and other for processing

6.Sep 30th - police verification completed but my application status is still pcc application is under review at Indian embassy/consulate.
