I am not impressed with the eCas system. It doesn't seem to update for me.

I have SA now , and I have the official letter that goes with SA and eCas still
says in process.

My husbands eCas says in process too. ???

Honestly, I would order notes and see what they say. That's the most that we can go off of, until people with similar timelines start receiving updates. Hopefully tomorrow we will get a bunch!

For those wanting to know time lines from In Process to Decision Made, my application went in process on July 30th and Decision Made was August 23.

Thanks for this comment. That gives me hope! Just curious what immigration office you went through? My husbands app is in Kingston.

Should I be worried that I never got a response?

I would not be concerned due to the volume of applications they are processing I'm surprised they are responding. Might depend on the visa officer on whether or not they reply or not.

Sara, Mine has been in Ottowa. my application was received on October 16 2014 if that helps.

hi guys,

the status changed from " received" to "in process", just wondering if there is away to know when did they change the status? also when i click on "in process" the next page show only one line saying: " We received x.x.x application for permanent residence on April x, 2015.".... that all, is that normal shouldn't have more details like when they start to process the application ??

Crazy question, but since this thread is mainly about ECAS, I thought I would ask here. Does anyone know what time (I'm guessing EST) ECAS updates nightly? The traditional thought is that ECAS updates on Tuesdays, but of course many people who check daily have noticed ECAS updates on other days.

Sincerely,

A very, very patient applicant ;)

I saw in another post that under the main status of In Process (when you click on it) there are a number of sub-processes. 1) we received your application 2) medical results have been received and 3) we began to process your application on <date>.

I think it's safe to say, that if you don't have number 3 under the "in Process" status, then they haven't begun to process it yet. When people are posting that their status has changed to "in process" it would be good to know if this is the main status or the sub-point when you click on it..

Can anyone else comment? Has anyone seen point 3) under the Applicant (Permanent Resident Application) under the main status? have there been other combinations of status updates? (like Application Received in the main status, and point 3 still showing underneath.

All above is referring to applicant and not sponsor for clarification.

I got the exact same request from Ottawa (intent to return, RPRF, medicals) last week and replied with the supporting documents the next day. Haven't had any reply except the automatic acknowledgement email either but not overly worried since I don't think most people do.

It all seems to suggest that Ottawa is maybe making an effort to get through the backlog since so many folk are getting document requests all of a sudden though!

From what I've read, the third line under In Process doesn't pop up from some VO's until DM? I'm a March applicant and my app supposedly went IP a week and a half ago.

I would completely disagree!!
2 sub points are seen usually... 3rd one saying wen thy begun to start processing is very rare..... May be 2 out of 10 ppl get to see it..... Iv seen mejority people having only 2 sub points even after decision made n ppr

That's encouraging...I think :)

The reality is that CIC should be doing it's job and providing appropriate AORs and status updates.....what's sad is that we have now been "trained" to believe that it's optional when these requirements are indicated in their own procedures manuals.

i have passport request and decision made on my Ecas but when I click it it says 1 and 2 only .

Hi guys.. went thru the thread.. like everyone even I got my status changed to IP.. but not sure if they are really working.. But I received a mail from Immi asking for additional docs regarding our marriage and outings.. At the same time when i clicked my "In Process" status online, I could see the 3rd point stating

"We sent you correspondence on August 20, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

So I'm about to send the docs requested by them...!! Not sure how long they'll take or what's the next step!! Fingers crossed..

Main Status : In Process
Detailed Status :
1. We received your application for PR on May xx
2. We started processing your application on March xx
3. Medical Results have been received

After 4 months since last ECAS status update (#3), I received an email from ADVO requesting for my Police Clearance and PP copy. Its been more than a month since submission of my clearance, no ECAS update yet, still in process.... unlimited waiting lol ;)
