Hello lepatissier07,

It could be frustrating at first, but once you start to collect your docs & fill the forms..you'll find it easy.
Just engage the gears..& go on.

New forms are clear and easier to fill than the old.

And don't worry, normally if there's anything missing in the supporting documents..they will inform you.

Best of luck :)

hi iceberg7,

now prepare yourself for the possible most stupid question !

I'm just about to book the IELTS Language Test. For the CSQ-Interview I didn't need one, (none requested) and I've been accepted. I assume that my language proficiency (french) was good enough to get accepted ?! ( i've been told by the Officer that my french was very good) Meaning, i don't need to do a French Test, otherwise i wouldn't have gotten accepted, right?

In the application form for QSW they ask for the IELTS English test. That's the one I need to do, right? Or do they want a french one, because I'm asking for the QSW ?

Because apparently they don't start processing until have those IELTS Result (s).

bye,
regards,
lepatissier07

P.s.: just asking for reassurance before i spend 285$ for something i won't even need.

i don't think CSQ requires a IELTS. If possible provide them a letter stating all your means of communication (in work place), your medium of education is in English. I believe that would be sufficient.

hi smhumayun86,

thanks for the reply!

Did you need a language test? I've seen you are going for the QSW.

Because with what i've studied in School 5 years, Trade Diploma 3 years and Work experience in english speaking countries (NZ,UK,Canada) 5years makes a total of 13 years speaking english (mixed with french about 9 years) and applying for the QSW providing and english IELTS wouldn't make much sense in a french speaking province...,

Its just confusing because the documents checklist states it, but nothing particular regarding the QSW application.

And regarding the letter from my employer, there would be something like this written in it:

Hereby I confirm that, (Name), has advanced english and french speaking skills, which is need in our company to communicate with customers and suppliers in order to keep the business up.

End. With the usual Company letterhead ect...ect...

Something like that?! wouldn't be a problem.

regards,

lepatissier07

Hello lepatissier07,

As smhumayun86 advised, IELTS is not required to apply for PR visa!

I sent a copy of it along with my application since I already have an academic IELTS, an addition from my side really.
I haven't sent any proof of french, since I've been in french college..so..I didn't need to pass a test.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EQ7.pdf
Check the guide, page 19..nothing indicates the necessity of IELTS test.

The following are the forms that must be filled out and submitted:
 Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
 Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP)
 Schedule A: Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
 Schedule 5: Economic Classes – Declaration of Intent to Reside in Quebec (IMM 0008 Schedule 5)
 Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
 Use of a Representative (IMM 5476), if applicable

Please check that PDF..it will answer all your questions.

Best of luck.

hi iceberg7,

hope you're fine, nice day today, sunny and warm... perfect for triple-checking my CIC-docs on the balcony.... :)

and, once again, another question to confirm please, regarding the "Additional Family Information"-Form.

Do I have to complete this anyway, even if: 1. I'm Single, No Spouse or Common-Law, never married
2. No Brother, No Sister
3. No Children, whether adopted or not....
4. Parents still alive, but will never ever come to Canada

Do I have to complete it anyway ? Meaning, they just want to know who I left behind, even if they will never come, and that's it ?!

Sunny Greetings, 8)
lepatissier07

P.S.: I have heard another not so (for me) important rumor regarding the QSW-Visa. Which is valid for 5 years, so far. Is it true that
I cannot work somewhere else in Canada, except here in this Province? (the reason of CSQ)
What happens if i decide in 3 years that (Job issues for example) i don't want to stay here anymore? (I mean this Province)
Who knows whats coming up...
Do I have to apply then for the FSW ? And, in return, what would have been if I would have applied for the FSW from the beginning
on, and then decided I want to work in Quebec..would it have been the same issue, (CSQ) just the other way around?!

Hello lepatissier07,

Yes, you'll have to fill "AFI" form..even if your parents/family members are not accompanying you.

Regarding you second question, note that you'll receive "Canadian Permenant Residency visa", and eventually "Canadian citizen"..so, you will be able to more/relocate free to any other province.

But wants to leave "la belle province" anyways! ;)

Good luck.

Hi Iceberg7,

thanks, i'll do so.

regarding the PR Visa, yeah... i don't mind staying here.. just in case i have trouble finding the right job here, the demand of pastry chef is not as high as people might think, and, as I've thought. Unfortunately the salary here in Montreal is ridiculous...14$/h and asking for 10years of experience... ..yeah right... hope fully things will be better in Quebec City, otherwise...well,........

have a nice one....

cloudy greetings from Montreal,
lepatissier07

Hello lepatissier,

Yes, I understand.
We all have the same concerns about job opportunities.

But I really believe you still can find a good job in Quebec; otherwise..Ontario or even BC (where could have more opportunities)

At least wait for me..I deserve a nice cake..(or even a brezel :D )
Don't I?!

Good luck :)

Enjoy the fall in Montreal ;)

Hi Iceberg7,

hope you're fine and you had a nice Halloween.

Just wanted to say that I've sent my Federal Part Doc's last Wednesday, they arrived Thursday Morning 11am apparently. :)

Now is the waiting game on. :)

Read-ya soon,

lepatissier07

P.S.: I gave you and STILLHOPE a +1 rating a couple of days ago. I saw STILLHOPE giving good advice all around here, but still got jinxed from somebody. :(
