hi iceberg7,

whatever it means, but today my address showed up in my Ecas....nice to see things moving.... :)

Good Luck with your flat search... Longueuil is a nice area, but be aware of the Metro, it costs 117$/month..like Laval.....so.. .

Have a nice one.. Bon Courage!

Hello lepatissier07..

Good news!
Though I have never ever checked t\my "ecas" thing!!!
Yep, I was not interested to get over stressed by checking every now & then my status. I let it go!

Yes, I know Longueuil is nice..and I'm aware of the transportation problem!
I may need to stay somewhere closer to downtown.

Do you live there?!
Do you suggest any other area?

Search is on...
!

Wish you best of everything..

Ciao

hello iceberg7,

Longueuil is a nice area, i'm living there. But its during the winter pretty boring, i many of the "older" population here. :) You can be in Montreal downtown in 15min with the Metro, the OPUS card costs 117$ as i said already, but since January 2012 you can also use the buses with the Opus Card, helps a lot.
it seems obvious, but as long as you stay close to the metro, i would recommend "Verdun", nice houses/flats there. South shore in general is nice. Don't know about Laval, never been there. Little Italy is fine, too, just not really around Jean Talon (which is near by)...seems to be a "sketchy" area....i've been told many times...unfortunately i have no proof for that. Around "Lionel-Groulx" Metro station is ok, but things change a lot in the "side-streets".....a proper flat/close-area visiting is recommended. thats all i know. i'm going to move next year possibly as well. Ah, btw,....at Lionel groulx Metro station also the airport bus line 747 stops there, if i remember right it's the last station before it goes straight to the Airport Trudeau, about 30min.

thats it for now...

have a nice one... all the best and good luck,

Ciao
