Could you please share your email? I received this,

We refer to your IELTS test of 25/03/2017.

As part of the quality control procedures designed to protect the integrity and security of the IELTS test, test results are routinely analysed before they are issued to candidates.

Unfortunately your result is still being processed so it has not been possible to analyse it yet. The analysis will be conducted when the processing of your result is completed.

Please note that it is specified in the Declaration signed by candidates on the Application Form that there may be occasions when it is necessary to issue a result more than 13 days after the test.

Please accept our apologies for this delay.

This is a delay. You have to wait. It can be withheld too.

What is the difference between withheld and delay?

According to many, it happens when there is a 2 bands gap in any two modules. Of course, I am not going to get 9 in any module. It means if I get 8.5 in one module, there will be 6.5 in other module. Conclusion: I am not going to get CLB-9 :(

Delay means, you will get it later than 13 days
Withheld means, you will never get your score.

There is no definite reason for this. It can be a random selection

I have to disagree on the meaning of "withheld", it depends on the context of the email, obviously if it states something like "... withheld permanently..." it means forever, but if its like what I received in my first exam in January: "...As a result of these procedures, your test scores for the 07/01/2017 have come under scrutiny and are being investigated. Your results are being withheld while this investigation is being conducted. Please note that all investigations are conducted without prejudice by the IELTS Test Partners.", now they didn't state permanently, I actually received the results for that exam 17 days after the expected date (so 17+13 = 30 days from the exam date).

That's my experience anyway.

Best of luck,

Wait for ECA, enter the pool and wait for the ITA. Then submit the eAPR and have a long and painful wait for the PPR

I am still waiting for my transcripts etc to come through..guess it will be 15-30days (worst case) before i get them and then i start with WES..which as per this forum might take anywhere between 2-8 weeks (again worst case) ..

i was wondering is their anything else that i could do in the interim to save time that would help my overall case..asking since i guess you are now a few steps ahead of me..

Hello,
Any one who took their exam in San Francisco Bay area got the results. I get the 'Candidate Not Found' error every time I try to access the result.

Same here. My test centre is at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I just called the test centre, he said my results are already available on paper so I can go there to take it, but I'm from another city.... He also said that it might be online around 6pm, now it is 3pm.

I gave my first attempt without any prep and got 7.5. I thought if I could get 7.5 without any prep, then with a day or 2 of prep before the test, I can get an easy 8. Did not happen. Upto 7.5 is very easy. Beyond that needs a lot of effort. I took the test 5 times and £160 per attempt.

It may be tempting to book the next available test as I did in the hope of getting an ITA soon. It is good to be quick but haste makes waste. Take time to practice so that you really improve your score.

Keep in mind the dates and your existing scores. Those with Canadian siblings and excellent French skills will see an increase in 45 points. This will bump up their score and increase the cut off. If you take the test on 13th, you have more than a month and can make the draw before the new points kick in.

Remarking will take 6-8 weeks. Do you want to wait that long with no guarantee of an increase? Also it's expensive.

I kind of agree on the money making tactics and had posted my thoughts about it

@xpressentry - can remarking also lead to deduction in the existing marks ?

i dont think you should wait for a nomination. if you can get an invitation from the federal government, then why waste time and money on the nomination. the last draw cut off was 431. if the trend continues, you can get an ITA in the next draw.

@xpressentry -- What role does one's NOC code or professional background play in getting a nomination from ONP or from any other province ?

I think Ontario cherry picks from the pool. the others, you have to apply if your occupation is in demand and if you are eligible by having a job offer

Hello Guys,
I see my score updated on the website just now ( San Francisco ) .

My scores are

Overall
7.5

Listening
7.5

Reading
8.0

Writing
7.0

Speaking
7.5

When I plug in these into the CRC calculator, I get around 417. Should I apply and retake the exam? Or is there any other way I can add more points to my profile. I am 27, single, have a master's degree from U.S.A and have around 3 years of work exp.

Please let me know your thoughts/suggestions

Thank You!
